The singers will join legendary music manager Jim Halsey and his producer son Sherman Halsey for the National Music Council's annual ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee on 11 July (15).

All five honourees will be recognised for their "long term contribution to America's musical culture and heritage".

Dr. David Sanders, director of the National Music Council, says, "(The American Eagle Award recipients are being honoured) not just for the incredible gifts they have given generations of music lovers throughout the world with their creative output, but also for their dedication to encouraging young musicians and potential musicians through their great support and commitment to music education."

Previous American Eagle Award recipients include Quincy Jones, Herbie Hancock, Clive Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, and Stephen Sondheim.
