Kristen Stewart has admitted that acting is lonely.

The 24-year-old actress - who found international fame when she starred as Bella Swan in the vampire romance films, 'Twilight' - has revealed she finds her job incredibly isolating.

She told The Independent's Radar magazine: ''Actors become super-isolated. Again, I'm not complaining about it, it's just that you have a very unique perspective on things because people don't talk to you, they feel like they are not allowed to come up to you and say 'hi'.

''So suddenly you're incredibly lonely and people hire friends to have and what happens is the lines get blurred between co-workers and friends.''

Meanwhile, Kristen - who stars as Valentine in 'Clouds of Sils Maria' - has revealed that her character suffers from a similar problem in the film.

Speaking of Valentine's relationship with Maria Enders, played by Juliette Binoche, she said: ''They are not friends. They're not coworkers. They're not girlfriends.

''They're not mother and daughter or vice versa. They're just f***ing all of it and it's so weird.''
