In 2015, Marvel series 'Jessica Jones' hit Netflix as part of their collaborative project which would bring four lesser-known heroes from the pages of Marvel comic books to the small screen. Jones was amongst those heroes and faced a tough task in gaining the same sort of attention Charlie Cox had garnered with his take on Daredevil in the previous Marvel series of the same name.

Fortunately, the show proved to be a roaring success both critically and commercially, paving the way for the now-aired 'Luke Cage' and 'Iron Fist' debut seasons, as well as 'Daredevil' season 2. In fact, it was such a hit with the viewers that a second season was almost immediately ordered, giving viewers another chance to follow the adventures of one of the world's most interesting comic book personalities.

Now that second season is becoming a reality, with filming kicking off on the streets of Broadway and west 101st Street - the locations previously used during the first season for the outside view of Jessica's Alias Investigations and her apartment. Though filming has only just started, we expect set photos will be hitting the internet before too long, teasing what's to come.

Of course, we'll get our first reintroduction of Jessica during the scenes of 'The Defenders,' which will hit Netflix around September of this year. There, she'll team up with Matt Murdock, Danny Rand and former flame Luke Cage to take on one of the biggest threats to humanity they've ever witnessed, though details surrounding exactly what that may be are sparse. What we do know however, is that Sigourney Weaver will be playing a part as Alexandra; a woman of whom very little is known.

A lack of plot info is also the case with the second season of 'Jessica Jones'. With David Tennant's villainous Kilgrave now a thing of the past, we should soon be finding out exactly who will play chief antagonist to Jessica.
