Actor Kyle Chandler rescued a newborn deer after he found it caught up in a cactus patch on his Texas ranch.
The King Kong star was enjoying an afternoon stroll around his estate when he heard an alarming cry from a distressed animal nearby.
He says, "I ran across the pasture about a hundred yards, which isn't a good idea when you've got tons of cactus everywhere.
"When I got there, my dog found this little baby deer. I brought it into the house. It had just been born that night. It's hooves had never touched anything."
Chandler eventually returned the fawn to the wild so it could reunite with its mother.
