Anchorman Refuses To Cover Kardashian Story, Epic Rant Ensues [Video]

News anchors have to be the bearer of bad news everyday but it wasn’t reports of poverty, hunger or violence which really got to one news anchorman – it was the Kardashians.

John Brown, an anchorman for Florida’s Fox 35 News, walked off set last Friday (7th August) when a reporter, streaming from another studio, started a report on the Kardashians. The story in question was how Kylie Jenner had named her pet rabbit Bruce, Caitlyn Jenner’s pre-transition name.

Brown couldn’t take anymore and left the set, leaving his bemused co-anchor and the reporter temporarily flummoxed. Although Brown was off-screen, his rant could still be heard by all in the studio and on air as his microphone was still attached.

“I’m having a good Friday so I refuse talk about the Kardashians today,” Brown said as he walked off the set. “You’re on your own Amy.”

“I can’t do it!” He added off screen. “I’ve had enough Kardashians! I can’t take any more Kardashian stories on this show!”

The reporter attempted to bring the focus back to the story, even asking Brown if he would like it if a pet rabbit was named after him. Brown was having none of it and continued to rant, claiming “no one cares” about the Kardashians anymore.

“I don’t care! I’m sick of this family! I can’t take it anymore!” Brown continued.

“It’s a non-story, it’s a non-story! We’re talking about this family every freaking day on this show! No one cares about this family anymore!”

“Do you listen to the research? Nobody cares about the Kardashians anymore! Nobody cares! We do it every day! Nobody cares about them, that’s enough of these guys!”

Amy, his co-anchor, and another presenter who had stepped in to cover for him were in hysterics. Whilst the reporter valiantly attempted to continue with the story. She eventually gave up, admitting “The sad part about it is I agree with you.”
