Lady GaGa's Born This Way Ball has delighted fans across the USA, including two dates in LA this weekend. The show was described by the OC Register as "a theatrical wonder, a pyrotechnics-free explosion of outrageous sights and chest-thumping sounds that sucks you into its strange futurism even when the concept makes no sense at all." If rumours are correct that she'll be taking some of that theatrical drama to another ball; Obama's Inauguration Ball.
CBS news reports that a rebel source, who isnt officiall authorized to publicize the information, said: "A person familiar with the inauguration tells The Associated Press that [Lady Gaga] will perform at Tuesday's ball for President Barack Obama's staffers."
While the Examiner considers Gaga's performance at the Ball as a 'surprise' but her message through both her 'born this way' campaign and body image revolution are all in line with Obama's political stance on many issues - that of embracing the all and leaving no one behind, particularly in such policies as his 'Obamacare'.
The first of Obama's inaugural balls featured Beyonce Knowles, which sparked a friendship that grew to see Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z. This year Beyonce performed the national anthem at the inauguration ceremony in which Obama was re-officiated in the role as President.
