Brezner died on Monday night (05Oct15) after spending the past three months at the City of Hope cancer facility in Pasadena, California, according to his longtime business partner, David Steinberg.

Brezner is said to have discovered both Williams and Crystal, and became instrumental in their burgeoning careers.

As a producer, he was responsible for Crystal's 1987 comedy Throw Momma From the Train, and 1987 hit Good Morning, Vietnam, which earned Williams his first Oscar nomination.

He also served as a producer on such films as Arthur, The 'Burbs, The Vanishing, The Greatest Game Ever Played, and most recently, Ride Along.

Brezner was on board to also produce the 2016 sequel starring Kevin Hart and Ice Cube.

He was married to singer Melissa Manchester for seven years in the 1970s and also managed her career.
