Fact: David Lynch's 2001 neo-noir Mulholland Drive has been named the best film of the 21st century by movie critics around the world. A BBC poll of 177 reviewers from 36 countries saw the Los Angeles-based thriller starring Justin Theroux, Naomi Watts and Laura Harring come out on top. Hong Kong director Wong Kar-wai's romance In The Mood For Love places second, while Paul Thomas Anderson's There Will Be Blood nabs third place.
