Lauren Conrad first rose to fame as a cast member on the MTV reality TV show 'Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County', and after moving to Los Angeles she then starred in her own spin-off series 'The Hills.'

Conrad will not let her future children do reality television

So after receiving so much success as a MTV reality star, why does Conrad not want her future children to follow in their famous mother's footsteps?

"I definitely wouldn't encourage my child to do reality television," the 29-year-old fashion designer told Redbook for its April issue, which will be published on March 17th.

And as Conrad puts her television days behind her, the New York Times Bestseller has now become a very successful and admired businesswomen. So what has she learned after transitioning from fame into a completely different kind of industry?

"Over the last few years I've been able to work with several women who I really respected because they didn't take on that role of being a bitch," Conrad explained to the mag.

"They were strong, but they were kind and they didn't need to shout to be heard," she added. "A lot of women feel like they need to be tough in order to be taken seriously. We have this idea that kindness is weakness, which I don't think is true."

As for her personal life, Conrad admitted that although her husband William Till was "the first person I ever thought I could marry," the lawyer does have some very annoying habits. "I watch The Good Wife with him and he's like, 'That's incorrect. You would actually do this,'" she said. "It's a nightmare!"
