Conrad has already confirmed she will appear in a 10-year anniversary special for MTV in August.
It’s hard to believe that MTV reality series ‘The Hills’ first hit our screens a decade ago, but plans for the show’s 10th anniversary may have just got even bigger. While star Lauren Conrad has already confirmed she’ll take part in a MTV anniversary special, it’s now been reported that there’s also talk of a reunion movie.
Will Lauren Conrad agree to a movie version of ‘The Hills’?
According to Entertainment Weekly, a movie adaptation of the reality series is closer than ever to happening. A source told the publication that stars Kristin Cavallari, Whitney Port and Audrina Patridge have all been approached and expressed interest in doing a reunion movie, but Lauren Conrad is still holding out.
As Conrad was the show’s star her involvement in the project is crucial for it to move forward. The source added that the initial concept for the film would be to begin with Patridge’s wedding in Australia to longtime boyfriend Corey Bohan, with all her friends in attendance.
The film would then catch up with the cast, ‘who are now almost all in their 30s and leading very different lives (marriages, kids, etc.)', much like the first Sex and the City movie. Earlier this week Conrad announced she’d be revisiting the show for MTV special, ‘The Hills: That Was Then, This Is Now’.
The show, which will air on August 2nd, will see Conrad reveal some of the series' "best-kept secrets" and dish on what it was like living her life for years on screen. She'll also answer fan questions and give an update on her life now.
