Glee actress, Lea Michele, was left devastated after her boyfriend and fellow co-star, Cory Montieth, suddenly died earlier this year in July (2013).

Following this tragedy, Michele found comfort in the unlikely form of 34 year-old actress, Kate Hudson, who appeared on the musical TV series as dance teacher 'Cassandra July'.

The 27 year-old was recently interviewed by Elle and she revealed Kate was kind enough to offer up her home as an escape from the public eye.

"I called [Kate Hudson] and said, 'I don't know where I'm going to go because my house is swarmed [with reporters],'" Michele told Elle. "She was like, 'Oh, you're going to stay at my house.' Like it was nothing. No one knew I was there. I'll never really be able to thank her, truly, for what she did for me."

The interview is in support of Michele featuring as the cover girl for the mag's December issue, where she looks beautiful sporting a white leather jacket, smoky eye make-up and a pair of denim jeans accompanied by a gold belt.

The candid cover story also addressed how the Broadway actress is currently coping and if time is at all a healer.

She states, "I never thought I would be in this position in my whole life, now that I am in this position, you can choose to rise, and that's what I'm going to try to do. I know that Cory would want nothing more than for me to take this situation and use it to help people. I don't know if I will. I don't know how".

Monteith's death came as a great shock to family, friends and the world. The troubled actor suffered from an addiction problem since his late teens and on the night he died, the coroner's report revealed he was shooting heroine and downing champagne on the night of his death.

Corey Monteith died at the age of 31.
