Lea Michele has posted the first picture from the Glee set with the caption "feels so good to be home". The image shows Michele in costume as Rachel Berry sitting on the edge of a bed in her room. She looks rather contemplative, staring off into the distance.

Michele has been considerably more reserved in her Twitter posts of late, but it's hardly a surprise considering it's less than a month since her boyfriend and Glee co-star, Cory Monteith, was found dead in his Vancouver hotel room.

The Glee star has been incredibly strong, according to Ryan Murphy, the creator of the show, who said Michele had dealt with the tragic situation with "humanity and grace".

From the interview with Murphy, it seems Michele's coping mechanism has been to throw herself into her work. This is not simply a means of escape, quite the contrary, as the creator said Michele "felt that the best thing for the cast and crew was to be together and to get back to work and be together every day and talk about our memories of him [Monteith]."

The cast and crew of Glee have also decided to pay tribute to their late co-star in the third episode of the upcoming season.

Michele, after a couple of week's silence, finally addressed the topic of Monteith's death on Twitter. She thanked fans for their support and wrote "Cory will forever be in my heart."

Michele made her first public appearance since Monteith's death on Saturday (3rd August). She attended her friend Jamie Lynn Sigler's baby shower and a source, speaking to E!, said "she was smiling and having a great time with her friends."

Glee will premiere on 26 September and the Monteith tribute is scheduled for 10 October.
