LeAnn Rimes Denies Anorexia Rumors: "Now I'm Ok With My Body"
It wasn't an eating disorder, she says, just a lot of stress.
Country star Leann Rimes has never been one to shy away from admitting her problems, but she insists that an eating disorder isn’t among them. The “How Do I Live” singer has come under a lot of scrutiny lately for her thinning physique. A lot of publications have speculated that Rimes is anorexic, but she maintains that she shed the pounds naturally, because of all the stress of her recent past.
"People said I was [anorexic], but I didn't have a problem with eating, as I ate a ton all the time - I could eat my husband under the table!" she tells the Daily Mail. "But I was going through a time when I just wasn't sleeping -- my mind wouldn't shut off and my heart was breaking." Rimes is referring to a time two years ago, when she was in an affair with now-husband Eddie Cibrian. The two met on the set of Northern Lights in 2009 and, at the time, both were still married – Rimes to dancer Dean Sheremet and Cibrian to future Real Housewife Brandi Glanville.
Rimes describes the period after their affair as a "turbulent" one. "To say I've been on several roller coasters is an understatement," she admits to the Daily Mail. According to her own words, she is in a much healthier place now though. So maybe this means that we’ll see the singer put on a few pounds soon.
