World-famous basketball player, Lebron James is said to be planning his next big career move after this year's second NBA championship win this year: television. The 28 year-old sports star has announced that he will team up with cable network Starz to produce a brand new sitcom, entitled Survivor's Remorse, which will focus on two characters who make it big and have to adjust to their newfound fame as well as the guilt that they've made it whilst peers are still struggling, reports the AP via CBS Sports.

James has reportedly joined forces with his friend and business partner Maverick Carter as well as the man behind hits such as The Cosby Show and Roseanne; Tom Werner. However, this isn't the first time James has turned his attention to television: he and his crew produced two seasons of the The LeBrons cartoon show based on Nike characters James had created.

"I think the main thing for me is, first of all, making it out of a place where you're not supposed to. You're supposed to be a statistic and end up like the rest of the people in the inner city -- [and] being one of the few to make it out and everyone looking at you to be the savior," said James speaking to ESPN about the inspiration behind the sitcom idea.

He added that the show would strike a relatable chord for him too: "When you make it out, everyone expects -- they automatically think that they made it out and it's very tough for a young, African-American 18-year-old kid to now hold the responsibility of a whole city, of a whole community. I can relate to that as well," said James, who was just 18 when he entered the NBA.

However, Carter distances both his and James' lives from those of the two characters in the sitcom. "It's definitely not an autobiographical series about my life or LeBron's life; it's fictional characters living in a fictional world," he said. "LeBron is actually too famous, he would screw the show up if I tried to make a show about him."

Starz CEO Chris Albrecht also described Survivor's Remorse as "funny," "light-hearted," and "interesting," and that the new sitcome would present a welcome first for the channel.

More details on the cast and the show's expected start date TBA.
