The first announcements have been made for the August event.
The first announcement for the line-up of Reading & Leeds Festival 2018 has finally arrived, with Kendrick Lamar, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco and Kings Of Leon headlining the three-day event. Fifty acts across several stages, with many more yet to be announced for the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Leading Friday's line-up in Reading and Saturday's in Leeds is Fall Out Boy, who dropped their seventh studio album 'Mania' in January; another US number one that included the single 'Young and Menace'. They'll be joined by the likes of Post Malone, Wolf Alice, Nothing But Thieves, Annie Mac, Mist and The Blaze.

Over 90 names including Liam Gallagher and PVRIS have been announced for Reading and Leeds this week.
More than 90 names have been added to the already stellar line-up for Reading & Leeds Festival 2017, with Britpop legend Liam Gallagher heading up the new arrivals in a UK Festival Exclusive. He'll be joining the already announced headliners Kasabian, Eminem and Muse on the main stage.

Also added on the main stage line-up are Massachusetts rockers PVRIS who are on their way with their second record, Def Jam talent Vince Staples, drum and bass legend Goldie, garage band VANT, Scottish duo Honeyblood and 'Lies' hitmakers Deap Vally.
The band will be celebrating the release of new album ‘Anthems For Doomed Youth’ with a week of small shows.
The Libertines have announced a string of small live dates to celebrate the release of their new album Anthems For Doomed Youth on September 11th. The band will play five shows over the course of the week, with the first taking place on Monday (September 6th) at the Academy in Glasgow.
They will then hit Nottingham’s Rock City on September 7th, followed by Bristol’s O2 Academy, then London’s Electric Ballroom before finishing on September 11th at Manchester’s Ritz. The small shows are the band’s first club gigs since 2004.
The rapper had cancelled his Reading & Leeds Festival performances earlier this week, citing "circumstances", which he's now detailed via social media.
The American star, who is in the middle of a solo tour having founded the hip-hop collective Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All (often simply referred to as Odd Future), says he is not allowed to enter the UK for “three to five years” because of “lyrics written in 2009”, writing on Twitter on Wednesday night (August 26th).

They'll also be performing on the Lock Up stage as The Bronx.
Reading & Leeds Festival 2015's ever expanding line-up continues to grow with yet more acts announced to appear across the many stages; some of which are well-established, and some up-and-coming, but all definitely worth experiencing this year.
Kicking off proceedings, Mariachi el Bronx will be bringing a little Mexican spirit to the UK festival - which will be just as well if the English weather lets us down come August. They'll be joining headliners Metallica, Mumford & Sons and The Libertines, plus many more top billing artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Alt J and Bring Me The Horizon.
Metal titans will headline Reading & Leeds for the fourth time next year.
Organisers announced on Tuesday (25 November) that the American legends of metal will appear at the festival for the first time since 2008, when they also topped the bill alongside Rage Against The Machine and The Killers. They also headlined in 2003 and 1997, so they’ve got plenty of experience of satisfying the festivals’ notoriously raucous crowds.
Metallica headlined Glastonbury (above) this year, and will do the same at Reading & Leeds in 2015

It came, It went, It conquered as per. Leeds Festival 2014 was a real pinnacle for this year's UK live music, cramming it's masses into the colossus fields of Bramham Park, this year's Leeds Festival was a true menace of a machine. From strolling the sights and stalls of the relatively tame arena, to hiking through the foothills of Red camp and afar, the beast of Leeds Festival was out in full glamour this year. Not only for the sheer size and scale of the glorified playground, nor for the big bad names it captured upon its stages, but purely the immense and sometimes overwhelming atmosphere of Leeds Festival is what attracts the crowds in their droves - (Each and EVERY year).
This year's line-up, though transparent in parts, boasted an array of big names and must sees. From Gerrard Way's premier solo show, right the way through to Macklemore's fur coat - teenage girl-screaming onstage antics. All considered, It is fair to say Leeds festival caters to the masses, though in doing so, often leaving the fringes of those masses at somewhat of a loose-end. Fear no-more, as this year with 10 arena stages and a dozen campsite venues, attendants waved farewell to mud-mooching moments of waiting around and embarked on the northern event of the year. With Oxfam blazers, slush puppy pleasantries and a number of near 24-hour rave spots all been thrown around, It was hard to find even a moment for the annual carbon monoxide poisoning - plastic bag burning ritual around the camp fire.
Without further ado, we present to you this year's top live sets and why they really made this year what it was.
