Ed Sheeran must have felt like he was dreaming on Saturday night, when he got to join Beyonce onstage at the 2015 Global Citizen Festival for a duet of her hit song ‘Drunk in Love’. Sheeran frequently covers the track but this was the first time he had performed his stripped down acoustic version with Queen Bey herself.

Beyonce brought out Sheeran mid-way through her set which had already included Destiny’s Child classics and a remix of ‘Crazy in Love’. But the New York crowd went wild for the Sheeran duet, which was a highlight of the already star studded festival.

Ridley Scott has reportedly signed on to direct an adaptation of Don Winslow's novel The Cartel for studio Fox. Released last month, the novel tells the fictional story of a DEA agent and the drug lord he becomes obsessed with taking down.

Leonardo Dicaprio is teaming up with the Sons of Anarchy writer Marco J. Ramirez for an adaptation of the Japanese manga classic Akira. DiCaprio will produce under the Appian Way banner with American Sniper's Andrew Lazar also joining the team.

Warners has been throwing ideas around for the project since acquiring the rights to Akira in 2008 Since then numerous writers, directors and stars have circled the movie and a version was close to being made with Garrett Hedlund, Kristen Stewart, Ken Watanabe and Helen Bonham Carter in 2012. Jaume Collet-Serra was due to direct before Warners pulled the plug.

Hilary Duff has reportedly been filming her dates with men she met using the dating app Tinder. The 27-year-old actress, best known for her roles in Lizzie McGuire and Gossip Girl, may be using the footage for a reality series, according to reports in TMZ. Duff is recently single having filed for divorce from her husband of four years, Mike Crombie, in February of this year.

Leonardo Dicaprio has signed a multi-year partnership with Netflix to produce further environmental films following the Oscar-nominated success of wildlife documentary Virunga.

Leonardo Dicaprio could be facing his most challenging role yet. The 40-year-old actor is set to play Billy Milligan in The Crowded Room. DiCaprio will have to play 24 separate characters as Milligan suffered from multiple personality disorder. The project has been long in the making as DiCaprio first expressed his interest in playing the role in 1997 but the film was shelved for more than a decade. Now, with DiCaprio's production company Appian Way and New Regency, the project has been revived.

All the time, Glass was unarmed, alone, and close to death from his wounds. And if you haven't guessed by now, yes, it is based on a true story.

Elsewhere in the Top 20 was 12 Years a Slave and American Hustle.

'The Wolf of Wall Street,' starring Leonardo Dicaprio, has been revealed as the most pirated movie of the year. The Martin Scorsese-directed flick was downloaded 30.035 million times by torrent users around the globe since being released last Christmas.

The Imitation Game, Benedict Cumberbatch's potentially Oscar-winning movie about the genius mathematician tasked with cracking the "unbreakable" codes of Germany's World War II enigmatic machine, opens in the UK today. Netflix has scored again with another high profile star, with the streaming service announcing it's teaming up with Leonardo DiCaprio to release a new documentary. Entitled Virunga, it will be produced by DiCaprio’s Appian Way productions and is scheduled for release on November 7th.

Christian Bale will play the late Apple founder Steve Jobs in Sony's forthcoming biopic, sources confirm. The project boasts a huge pedigree with Danny Boyle directing from a script by Aaron Sorkin, based on Walter Isaacson's biography.

Sorkin has previously confirmed the movie will be divided into three long scenes, each taking place backstage before one of Apple's famous product launches. The first scene will focus on the launch of the Mac, while, interestingly, the second will follow Jobs as he unveils the NeXT - the cube like computer that he developed after leaving Apple and a machine used by Tim Berners-Lee to write the first web browser. The final section of the movie will focus on the iPod.

Andre 3000 may have just played Jimi Hendrix in Jimi: All Is By My Side, but the Outkast man has some ambitious plans for a biopic of himself. Speaking at a screening of the movie at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, the rapper admitted he had some unconventional casting choices in mind.

Daniele Watts, the American actress who appeared in the Oscar winning movie 12 Years' a Slave, was detained by police in Los Angeles on Sunday when officers responded to a complaint of indecent exposure. Watts said on Facebook account that she was handcuffed for kissing her companion in public.

Police confirmed that a male and female were involved indecent exposure inside a Silver Mercedes with a vehicle door open. Patrol offers responded to the complaint in the 11900 block of Ventura Boulevard in Studio City and "located two individuals that matched the description of the suspects, and they were briefly detained," according to the Los Angeles Times.

In what may well be the most star-studded short movie of all time, Martin Scorsese will direct a campaign video for Melco-Crown Entertainment (MCE) starring Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt.

Martin Scorsese is in the early stages of developing a Shutter Island prequel series for HBO. The premium cable network is working with the Oscar-winner on a TV show based on the 2010 movie, starring Leonardo DiCaprio.

Andrew Stern, the husband of former America’s Next Top Model contestant Katie Cleary committed suicide earlier this week. According to the police, via TMZ, Stern shot himself in the head at a shooting range in San Fernando Valley. It happened on Sunday night. Stern, 40, had been married to Cleary for four years and the couple was reportedly going through a rough patch.

Cleary's publicist has denied the rumours of her infidelity. 

The suicide is now being linked in various tabloid reports to Cleary’s recent trip to Cannes. While there, she was photographed with Leonardo Dicaprio and Entourage’s Adrian Grenier. Katie’s rep, speaking for the Daily Mail, insisted that both conversations were completely innocent - Cleary and Grenier had been friends for sometime, while she and DiCaprio were having an innocent chat about animal conservation.
