Liberace's former toyboy lover Scott Thorson is facing a jail sentence amid allegations of burglary and identity theft.

The 53 year old, also known as Jess Marlow, was arrested by police in Reno, Nevada on 22 February (13), after he was caught paying for a room at the Ponderosa Hotel with a credit card that did not belong to him.

He was charged with four counts of first-degree burglary, in addition to charges involving the possession and use of a credit, debit or Id card without the consent of the cardholder on four different occasions.

Deputy District Attorney Rebecca Druckman says, "The case basically boils down to the victim lost his wallet, got a call from the Ponderosa saying somebody is here using your credit card. He went to check it out and the police were called. All the other transactions were then discovered."

Thorson, who was once the late showman's teenage toyboy, appeared in Reno Justice Court to face the charges on Thursday (07Mar13) and is currently being held at Washoe County Jail.

Thorson's legal troubles could force him to miss the forthcoming premiere of Tv movie Behind The Candelabra, in which he is portrayed by Matt Damon opposite Michael Douglas as the flamboyant pianist.

The film, which will be broadcast on U.S. network HBO in May (13), is based on Thorson's memoir Behind the Candelabra: My Life with Liberace.
