Lil Wayne has stunned the rap world by announcing plans to retire in six years time.
The Lollipop star, 29, is keen to walk away from hitmaking when he turns 35 so he can spend more time with his family.
He tells GQ magazine, "Basically, I have been doing this for 18 years, that's reason number one. I have accomplished all that I have set out to accomplish and more.
"Six years I can do this Lil Wayne thing (sic), and my boys will be about seven and eight years old. And man, it's all about them then. Whatever they're into."
But he has no plans to give up music altogether: "I have a label and I've only put out two artists (Nicki Minaj and Drake). I have a lot more work to do and it'd be selfish to not focus on being the boss and focus on their projects."
