Lily Allen, Simon Le Bon and Jared Leto are among the stars who have taken to the internet to give their reactions to the death of North Korea's controversial leader Kim Jong-IL.
The Communist dictator passed away on Saturday (17Dec11) after reportedly suffering a heart attack on a train, and many celebrities have been quick to react to the news.
Duran Duran star Le Bon writes in a post on his Twitter.com page, "And it's... Good-bloody-bye to tinpot dictator, Kim Jong Il. Best know (sic) for his supporting role in Team America; World Police (the movie)," while fellow British singer Allen simply states, "Buhbye Kim Jong Il."
Jared Leto writes, "End of an Era. Time for an Asian Spring," and actress Nia Vardalos adds, "I'm guessing Kim Jong Il died because Santa reads a whole lotta wish lists."
Kirstie Alley and Mia Farrow have commented on reports which suggest many people in North Korea have been seen sobbing in the streets following the death of their leader.
Alley writes, "Have people become so blind to barbarism that they weep for mass murderers... please!... get a f**king clue... cry for the victims of Kimbo," and Farrow adds, "N Korea: Ppl (people) sobbing, wailing & thrashing about - as an actor I can say, they would never get hired."
