Lily Collins wished she could play a musical instrument.

The 27-year-old actor - who is the daughter of musician Phil Collins and his Jill Tavelman - would love to follow in her famous father's footsteps and be able to play the piano or guitar.

Speaking to Stylist magazine about the one talent she wished she had, the brunette beauty said: ''I've always wanted to be able to play piano or guitar. It's never too late to learn.''

And the 'Love, Rosie' star has admitted she is keen to pick up the skill even later on in life because she has a fear of missing out.

She explained: ''I'm afraid of missing out because I'm not living in the moment. I used to be so focused on doing everything I could to secure what I wanted to happen in the future, it prevented me from being able to enjoy the now.''

However, the star has learnt to try and be more laid back as she believes everything happens for a reason.

When asked if she is fatalistic, she replied: ''I've always believed everything happens for a reason. There are so many job i wanted at the beginning of my career but I didn't get - at the time, I felt like it was the end of the world. I soon realised that if I had got those jobs, I couldn't have done the ones I ended up with instead.''
