The former The Nolans star faced a court hearing over allegations she fraudulently received welfare and housing payments totalling $19,200 (£12,000) from the U.K. state by failing to declare work she had carried out.

Bosses at Britain's Department of Work and Pensions dropped their case against the pop star in May (15) as they accepted she suffered health issues following the death of her mother, husband, and sister Bernie, but she continued to be pursued by officials at Blackpool Borough Council over a housing welfare bill of $6,400 (£4,000).

However, Nolan has since accepted an official caution and begun repaying the $6,400 so the case has been dropped.

A spokesperson for the council tells Mirror.co.uk, "After careful consideration of this case it has been decided to proceed by way of a caution which we understand LINDA NOLAN has accepted... The case against her will be formally withdrawn."
