However, Winfrey has convinced the 27-year-old actress to stay in the US in case she relapses, according to sources speaking to TMZ. Winfrey contacted Lohan, via telephone, on numerous occasions over the last 24 hours. The 59-year-old talk show host convince Lohan by arguing, instead of heading odd on a hedonistic holiday, she needs to focus on maintaining her sobriety.

Lohan left rehab last Tuesday (30th July) after a court ordered rehab stay. Lohan has not given herself any time to rest, immediately getting back to work by guest starring Chelsea Lately (aired last night - Monday 5th August).

A teaser for the interview has been released which features Winfrey questioning Lohan. This interview will be the first time Lohan has discussed her experience whilst in the Malibu Cliffside Rehab Center. The teaser shows Winfrey asking two key questions which the public have been desperate to ask: is Lohan an addict and what does it feel like to be a "child-star-gone-wrong?" The interview, for Winfrey's series Oprah: The Next Chapter is due to be broadcast on August 18th.

Winfrey is due to work with Lohan on an eight part documentary series focussing on her life post-rehab. Lohan's reality series will be broadcast next year on Winfrey's network OWN.
