Nearly two decades on from its release, Lindsay Lohan has revisited one of the key locations of her breakthrough film The Parent Trap – the London house in which parts of the movie were filmed.

Lohan was only 11 years old when she portrayed twins Hallie Parker and Annie James in the 1998 Disney re-make, the identical daughters of estranged parents played by Dennis Quaid and the late Natasha Richardson as they attempted to bring their mother and father back together, having accidentally attended the same summer camp together years later.

Eighteen years later, the American actress returned to the same spot in the English capital, capturing the moment on Instagram as she posed outside the well-heeled house on Sunday afternoon (June 5th).

She captioned the snap: “A trip down memory lane #sundayfunday #theparenttrapmovie ‘Annie's house’ but it was number 7 in the movie.”

The Parent Trap, re-made by Disney after the 1961 original of the same name, was 29 year old Lohan’s first feature film after a number of TV and advertisement appearances she made as a young child. The movie was a financial and critical success, taking $92.1 million, one of very few examples of a re-made movie working out well for everybody involved.

Lohan is enjoying a period of stability in her life after well-publicised troubles over recent years. She’s been spotted on several occasions with her rumoured fiancé Egor Tarabasov, having relocated to London in 2015 in a decision that she’s referred to on a number of occasions as “the best thing that has ever happened” to her.

Tarabasov reportedly asked her to marry him in April this year after eight months of dating. However, Lohan’s representatives soon denied that this had happened.
