The All Night Long hitmaker is a big collector of rock artefacts and he could not resist the urge to land another rarity when the chance arose to get King's autograph.

He purchased a special Gibson B.B. King Lucille model guitar and asked the musician to sign it, and King unexpectedly died just months later, making it among his last autographs.

Richie tells Q magazine, "B.b. King, just before he died. I bought a guitar just like his Lucille and I asked him to sign it. He died about four months later."

King, 89, passed away in May (15) from Alzheimer's disease with other health issues contributing.
