Lisa Kudrow's Comedy Series Web Therapy Has Been Cancelled By Bosses At U.s. Network Showtime After Four Seasons.
The cable executives attended a press conference at the Television Critics Association press tour on Tuesday (11Aug15), and when asked about the possibility of a fifth season of Kudrow's improvised programme, Showtime president David Nevins replied, "No, that's done."
Web Therapy featured the former Friends star as a therapist with "limited patience" for other people's problems as she offered advice online. The show began as a web series in 2008, and in 2010, chiefs at Showtime adapted the programme for television.
Since its debut, the series has featured a number of A-list stars, including Meryl Streep, Lily Tomlin, Jon Hamm, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Kudrow's former Friends, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Matthew Perry playing quirky characters in need of advice.
