Little Mix have opened up to TV presenter Jonathan Ross about how they've learned to deal with the amount of criticism they've received over the past five years, admitting that these days they are rather thick-skinned when it comes to people insulting them for the way they look.

The band saw a lot of abuse both before and after they became the first group ever to win 'The X Factor' in 2011, but they went on ITV1's 'The Jonathan Ross Show' to explain how nowadays it's all water off a duck's back.

'I think there's a lot of pressure, especially for young girls, to look a certain way', said Jesy Nelson, the member of the group who was the particular target for cyberbullying at their start of their career. 'When we went on 'The X Factor' we didn't look that great and we got a lot of stick for it and it was hard.'

'Obviously we'd just been thrown into this whole experience so we'd never experienced anything like this and it was just a bit of a shock to the system', she continued. 'We still get it now but I think we've grown a thick skin now to it all.'

Jesy's comments may be in response to a wave of criticism that the group (which also includes Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall) received when they performed their latest single 'Shout Out To My Ex' live on 'The X Factor' last month wearing revealing outfits and thigh-high boots.

'It's hard, especially when you're so young and you're not used to people just being able to comment on what you look like and being able to see it in front of your face', Jesy added.

'Shout Out To My Ex' is the number one hit taken from Little Mix's upcoming fourth studio album 'Glory Days' which is set to be released on November 18th 2016 via Syco and Columbia Records.
