LL Cool J’s son, Najee Smith, has reportedly been arrested for refusing to leave a restaurant following an altercation in the early hours of Tuesday morning (September 29th).

A representative from the New York Police Department told E! News that they were called to a disturbance at a restaurant at the Meatpacking District on Ninth Avenue at 3:15am. Upon arrival, officers were told that Najee, 26, had refused to leave after appearing intoxicated and getting involved in a fistfight at the Catch Roof restaurant with co-defendant Flamur Kastrataj. They were both arraigned on charges of criminal trespassing the following day.

Najee is said to have become hostile to restaurant staff who attempted to escort him out, and refused to co-operate with the security doormen at the venue, according to an eyewitness speaking to the New York Daily News. Officers then arrested him and put him in the cells for the night, charging him and Kastrataj the following morning.

Najee is said to have been celebrating his 26th birthday at the popular restaurant, which according to its promoters is “one of the most exclusive in the city and is host to fashion models, celebrities, nightlife industry insiders and big spending bottle clients.”

Prosecutors say the defendants received pro bono legal services, according to the report. No official comment has been made, neither by Najee’s nor his father’s representatives.
