Lolapalooza

Get ready for a magnificent time as Chicago brings you another rollicking year of Lollapalooza with a legendary line-up of mixed genre music from The Cure to Mumford & Sons.

Since it's revival in 2003, Lollapalooza has been bringing you the very best of rock, metal, punk, hip hop and dance from all the major music legends to the up-and-coming rookies of the business. Taking place at Chicago's Grant Park from August 2nd - 4th 2013, the festival this year features a bedazzling headline roster of Las Vegas indie rockers The Killers, West Sussex goths The Cure, Grammy winning folk four-piece Mumford & Sons and long-running industrial rock group Nine Inch Nails. There will also be a huge range of activities to occupy yourself with over the weekend from the Samsung Galaxy Experience where you can check out the latest gadgets, to art stations where you can become a comic strip or be transformed into a work of pop art.

Also on the 2013 bill are icons such as 80s stars New Order, Def Jam's Georgian rapper 2 Chainz and alternative rockers Queens Of The Stone, as well as new artists on the scene such as Palma Violets, Deap Vally, Foals, Alt-J and Skrillex & Boys Noize project Dog Blood. There'll also be appearances from all your chart favourites including Kendrick Lamar, Ellie Goulding and Vampire Weekend.

For those worrying about the weather this year, we're all hoping their isn't a repeat of last year's organisation over shelter from rainstorms, so there'll be blue and white signs pointing towards all shelters and, in case of extreme heat, there'll be plenty of cooling buses, water stations and misting fans to keep everyone as comfortable as possible.
