Remember that whole Diplo, Taylor Swift, Lorde twitter incident last year? Well it seems that one's been stirred up again thanks to Diplo's latest interview.
Back in November Diplo, the music producer, DJ and rumoured boyfriend of Katy Perry, tweeted that Taylor Swift needed a kickstarter to help her get ‘a booty’. This distasteful bit of twitter attention seeking caused the singer’s BBF Lorde to retaliate ‘should we do something about your tiny penis while we're at it’ and thus the great Diplo/Lorde/Taylor Swift feud was born. Or actually it wasn't, as nothing really happened after that. Until now that is, when Diplo decided to bring it all up again in an interview with GQ.
Diplo made comments regarding Taylor Swift's 'booty' last year
Addressing Lorde’s tweet Diplo said it was, “funny, because me and Lorde, we're actually friends, and it was a funny, in-jest conversation.” Adding “I think Taylor Swift is such an impactful character, that it was because she was involved that it became really big.”
Chelsea Handler wasn't the only celebrity to find Kim Kardashian's recent image on the cover of 'Paper' magazine distasteful.
Katy Perry, Beyonce and One Direction have all also scored multiple nominations.

Lorde help us all.
Ella Yelich-O’Connor, whom you may know better as Lorde, is 17 years old, an outspoken feminist and took the music industry by storm in 2013. It’s hard to think of anyone better suited to curate the soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I. Lionsgate just made the announcement yesterday, so it’s time to get hella excited.
We can totally see Lorde in heroine mode, fighting for the districts, by the way.
We can expect Lorde to assemble a full-on HBIC soundtrack – Marina and the Diamonds, some of her contemporary inspirations like Lana Del Rey, Animal Collective, Kanye West, Yeasayer and others, who are all on the list of likely contributors as far as we’re concerned. Lorde’s friend and fellow feminist Taylor Swift created the lead single for the first Hunger Games soundtrack with The Civil Wars, so we’d be surprised, if she didn’t at least contribute a chorus here and there.
In addition to providing the hit single, she'll also select the artists for the rest of the soundtrack
More great news for fans of the Hunger Games films! Following the recent announcement that pop sensation Lorde will be providing the lead single for the new soundtrack, it’s now been revealed that she will curate the entire soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay pt.1.
Lorde will curate the whole soundtrack of the new Hunger Games film
The New Zealand singer, real name Ella Yelich-O’Connor broke through into the musical mainstream with her hit single ‘Royals’ last year, and it arguably provided the soundtrack of 2013. As Lorde wins the BRIT award for Best International Female we take a closer look at the 17 year old New Zealand pop sensation.
There’s been a ton of buzz around New Zealand singer and songwriter, Lorde, since her first EP The Love Club came out in November 2012. The first single off the EP, Royals, made it to number one in the pop charts in both New Zealand and the US, which means that the 17 year old pop star (yes, she’s just 17 years old which is something to think about for all of us out there who are much older and still don’t have any number one singles) can now proudly claim to be the first New Zealander ever to have topped the US charts.
Lorde doesn't bother dressing up to the nines like the average teenage popstar
But who is Lorde? The sultry star seemingly popped up out of nowhere and is now picking up awards and accolades left, right and centre, including last night winning the much coveted BRIT award for Best International Female before going on to then party the night away alongside fellow pop stars Katy Perry and Ellie Goulding.

If you've been paying any attention to the music industry lately, last night's Grammy awards held few surprises. Here are the highlights.
In what has to have been the most lively Grammy Awards ceremony in years, Daft Punk predictably went home with the top honors. The perennially silent robots won both Album of the Year for their Random Access Memories and Song of the Year, for the Pharell Williams collaboration Get Lucky. Taking the stage to accept the first award, the ever theatrically minded Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter kept mum, while collaborator and two-time Grammy award winner Paul Williams spoke for them. Opting for the classic “start with a joke” advice, Williams said: “Back when I was drinking and using, I used to imagine things that weren’t there… and then I got sober and two robots called me and asked me to make an album.”
The robots looked sharp on the red carpet - as sharp as anyone can, while wearing a blacked out helmet, that is.
Williams also expressed the robots’ pleasure at witnessing 33 same sex couples get married onstage to the tune of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ Same Love earlier in the night: “All that love is fantastic.”

Here are our predictions for the major categories.
The Grammy Awards are known as the biggest night in music, the music industry equivalent to the Oscars. Unlike the Oscars, however, the Grammys are much more accepting of newcommers and in fact, the award show airing this Sunday will feature plenty of debutants, competing with seasoned artists. So with that in mind, it’s about time for everyone to place their bets. Let’s see who the favorites are to sweep this year’s Grammys.
With seven nominations, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are expected to sweep the awards this year.
Record of the Year is one of the biggest categories at the award show. Out of the five nominees, Daft Punk’s Get Lucky seems like a no-brainer, but Lorde’s Royals, the unpredictable success of 2013 could come in and sweep this up last minute.

The surviving Beatles will perform at the ceremony and fans are hoping the two will join each other on stage for a reunion performance
Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are set to perform at this years 56th Grammy Awards, with their inclusion to the Grammys set list being announced this week by the music awards showcase. Although the organisers for the event have revealed that the pair will perform, they have yet to specify whether the two will appear on stage together at all, a prospect that most are hoping for.
Paul and Ringo will hopefully be performing together
The pair were announced as two of the latest confirmed acts to appear at the awards show, with fellow performers John Legend, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Kacey Musgraves, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Sara Bareilles and Carole King also added to the bill.
The Brit Awards jumped right into the middle of awards season by announcing their nominees, and there are plenty of artists from all over the world up for awards.
We are again right in the middle of awards season, and that doesn't just mean the Oscars. The Brit Awards have announced their 2014 nominations, and there aren't many surprises.

Lorde has had quite the year, but wants to make sure people know she is doing what she wants and is not planning to change any time soon.
Lorde was one of the surprise artists of 2013, bursting onto the scene with a hit song — and doing it all at the age of 17. But the singer hasn't been shy about her feelings for the music industry, or the world of pop culture.

Prepare for the 'royalties': the 17 year-old pop sensation signs with Songs Music after fevered bidding.
New Zealand pop star Lorde has signed a publishing contract rumoured to be worth up to £2.5 million after her single 'Royals' topped the UK chart last month. The just-turned-17 singer's signature was fought over in a major bidding war which is said to have included Sony and the publishing arm of her label, Universal.
Lorde (real name Ella Maria Lani Yelich-O'Connor according to Wikipedia - wow!) has truly stunned me with her debut single 'Royals'. For someone so young (just 16-years-old) she shows a remarkable level of maturity in her music; I know that's an obvious cliché but I don't think it will ever cease to amaze people just how much musical dexterity youngsters seem to have these days.
This song is taken from her Platinum-certified debut album 'Pure Heroine', which has shot straight to the top of the charts in her home nation New Zealand, and is lyrically very sincere. In the song, she talks about knowing your roots and not caring that you'll never be rolling in the millions with 'jet planes, islands, tigers on a gold leash' - she knows what she should be aiming for in life.
Lorde's vocals didn't strike a chord with me at first; it feels like ever since Amy Winehouse, God rest her, enchanted the world with her jazz/soul crooning, every female vocalist in the world suddenly has a low-pitched, husky voice with over-emphasised vibrato - Adele, Paloma Faith, Duffy - Lorde is just the latest in that category and, for me, it's getting pretty predicatable.
