One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson has said he’s been forced to change his phone number after receiving “disgusting” messages on WhatsApp from “losers”. His bandmate Niall Horan has also had the same problem, revealing that he too has received “horrific” messages on the app.

Louis TomlinsonLouis Tomlinson and Niall Horan have both had to change their phone numbers.

“Time to change my number .. Getting some disgusting stuff on what's app... Losers!” Tomlinson tweeted. “Me too mate,” his bandmate Horan replied. “Horrific Some of the things people are saying."

Tomlinson then joked that the two should challenge the trolls to a rap battle. “Maybe we should challenge them to a rap battle and destroy them in 64 bars?” Tomlinson asked Horan. “That would be way too strong ! Would take us less than 64 bars, we're sooooo good,” Horan replied.

Horan then added, “I wonder when they'll stop annoying us!” Just weeks ago Horan hit out at a fan on Twitter, who took a picture of him while he was asleep on a flight from London to Chicago. Posting the picture Horan wrote: “I think this s*** is unreal. I mean if you can't sleep on a plane without people taking photos of you, what can you do (sic).”

Back in May Horan also revealed he’d been bombarded by abusive texts from fans, who attacked his family and even his young nephew. “For the last two weeks I've been receiving messages off a group of fans, they have drowned my phone in messages, keeping me awake at night," Horan tweeted.

“But the worst part is. They have been nothing but abusive. Saying things you wouldn't even believe about me and my family. And saying the worst things ever about my little nephew. Thank god I'm not the kind of person who thinks into stuff like this.

“But I just think it's crazy how we let people away with things like this,” he added. “And the sad thing is, as I tweet this they are in the group chat laughing at me.” Niall then received messages of support from fans and later added: "Don't worry about me. I’m the most carefree, laid back person around. But I'm just signalling it, because this shite is happening to others."
