The singer's lawyers recently disclosed the health issue in court papers relating to his ongoing legal battle with former tour agent William Brockhaus, who is suing Miguel for $2.1 million (£1.3 million), amid allegations of breach of contract.

Reports suggest Miguel was handed a subpoena to face the claims in court, but he skipped the hearing as he is seeking treatment for the permanent ringing in his ears.

Brockhaus sued the star in an El Paso, Texas court earlier this year (15), claiming he was never compensated for helping to organise shows and reduce touring costs for Miguel after he was hired in July, 2012.

The 45 year old has yet to comment on the tinnitus news, but he isn't the only famous musician to reportedly struggle with the hearing problem - former Oasis rocker Noel Gallagher, The Who star Pete Townshend and Canadian singer/songwriter Grimes have also battled the condition.
