There’s about a million reasons we can’t wait for Star Wars Episode VII to come out. Yes, we know it’s not due for release until the end of 2015, but that’s not stopping us from a spot of Star Wars speculation! We’ve already got an inkling that the Millennium Falcon will make an appearance from scanning the background of production pics, but if there’s 7 other things we absolutely must see in the new film it’s got to be these.

The Cast of Star Wars Episode VII At The First Script Read-Through

1. A Gamorrean

These guys just don’t get enough time in the Star Wars films! The strange green pig like race with horns, who we first meet guarding Jabba the Hut, absolutely have to make an appearance. Hailing from the planet of Gamorr, Gamorreans have a hulking great big physique and are famed for their strength and brutality. Plus, they look super funny.

2. A sh*t ton of lightsabers

You heard us. We want lightsabers in every colour! We know that traditionally they only come in red, blue and green (apart from Mace Windu’s purple lightsaber) but Episode VII is set 30 years in the future, so maybe they’ll have jazzed things up a bit and added some more colours.

3. Ewoks

For all those Ewok-haters, we have one word (or one name more like): Jar Jar Binks. Whoever used to hate on Ewoks for being annoying, they’ve now been so thoroughly surpassed on the annoying spectrum that you can’t possibly accuse them of it anymore. And we think they’re cute, so put that in your pipe and smoke it.

4. Lando Calrissian

Come on Jj Abrams, where the heck is Billy Dee Williams in your casting announcements? You simply can’t make a new Star Wars film without super smooth Lando. He ended up being a huge hero and helping the rebels to victory in Return of the Jedi, he’s just got to make an appearance.

5. The Cantina (theme tune and all)

If we’re never going to be able to go and drink ourselves in the Chalmun’s Cantina, it’s at least got to be featured in Episode VII. We want to hear that funky backing music again and get a glimpse at some of the strange creatures from the Star Wars galaxy.

6. The Dagobah System

OK, so we know that Yoda won’t be there anymore (sob) but we’re hoping there will be some sort of pilgrimage to the Dagobah System so we can reminisce about the Jedi master.

7. AT-AT Walkers Perhaps the strangest looking ground assault vehicles to ever feature in a film, All Terrain Armored Transport Walkers have become one of the most recognisable symbols of the Star Wars franchise, along with the Millennium Falcon and the Death Star.
