Bruno Mars has confirmed he will release his new single on Friday (04.11.16).

The 30-year-old singer has recently released his latest track '24K Magic' last month and has revealed he will be unveiling another hit from his forthcoming LP at the end of this week.

Speaking on Capital FM Radio's Breakfast show with Dave Berry, George Shelley and Lilah Parsons, Bruno said: ''What can I tell you about the new album? You know what I'll tell you guys ... I wasn't going to do it but I've changed my mind. I'm going to release one more song on Friday.

Lady GaGa played her most intimate London show to date in the early hours of Saturday morning when she made a surprise appearance at Hackney’s Moth Club. Word that Gaga might be showing up at the former working men's club spread on social media hours before and lucky fans in attendance were treated to a special, if brief, once in a lifetime performance.

Singer Lily Allen has denied tabloid claims that she’s been forced to sell her £4.2million Cotswolds mansion after being hit by a huge tax bill. Taking to Twitter, Allen said that she was actually selling the mansion because she was moving to London full time, rather than for financial reasons.

Lily Allen says the sale of her mansion is because she’s moving to London.

When a user on twitter asked why she was selling the mansion Allen replied, “because I'm moving to London full time.” She then told another user it was for sale, “because I don't live there anymore.’

Mark Ronson wins Record of the Year for 'Uptown Funk'

Record of the Year, of course, went to Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars for 'Uptown Funk' which also earned Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and the Dave Audé Remix won Best Remixed Recording for a Non-Classical song. It was Taylor Swift who landed the coveted Album Of The Year, however, with '1989' also becoming Best Pop Vocal Album. Swift also won an award alongside Kendrick Lamar for Best Music Video with 'Bad Blood', marking the rapper's fifth accolade of the evening.

Taylor Swift has returned to the top of the American album charts yet again, making her only the second woman in Billboard history to have more than one album that has clocked up ten or more weeks at Number 1.

Her fifth album 1989 racked up equivalent sales of 101,000 in the week ending February 1st, consisting of 71,000 pure album sales, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan. It has now spent ten non-consecutive weeks atop the chart, replicating the feat she achieved over 2008-09 with her second album Fearless.

Mark Ronson is a man in demand as his phenomenal success courtesy of Uptown Funk refuses to die down. Amazingly the single, which has Bruno Mars on vocals, currently holds the title of all-time most streamed track in one week in the UK – having been streamed a record of 2.56 million times across seven short days.

Mark Ronson has made his new album Uptown Special available online in full, a week ahead of its physical release. The producer has already scored a smash-hit with first single Uptown Funk and by the sounds of the new record, he appears to have more where that came from.

Sam Smith continues to win over the nation with his debut album 'In The Lonely Hour' as it slides back up to number one in the UK Album Chart for its fifth non-consecutive week with more than 1.2 million copies sold.

The British singer-songwriter shot to the top of the charts in June 2014 with the record, which includes the hit singles 'Money On My Mind' and 'Stay With Me', before returning to the top spot in September and no once again re-claiming that marker. The multi-platinum release has now had five weeks at the top according to the latest count.

As the year comes to a close, Mark Ronson is left reigning No.1 on the U.K. singles chart with his latest number ‘Uptown Funk’ featuring Bruno Mars, which earns its second non-consecutive week at the top spot with combined chart sales of 187,000.

The release of Mark Ronson's new single Uptown Funk has been moved forward by five weeks after X-Factor contestant Fleur East performed a stunning rendition of the song on last week's show. The live recording shot to the top of the iTunes chart on Monday, prompting Ronson to rush-release his version.

After her Uptown Funk performance, Fleur East is now the overwhelming favourite to win the X-Factor

Some bookmakers subsequently stopped taking bets on the track to become Christmas number one.

Rhod Gilbert has been named as the permanent host of comedy panel show Never Mind the Buzzcocks. The BBC2 show has lacked a permanent presenter since 2009 when Simon Amstell departed so he could work on his own comedy tours and performances. 

Rhod Gilbert is the first permanent Buzzcocks presenter in five years.

Thinks could get confusing for music journalists describing "Paul McCartney's new New Album," or his "new album New" but for now we'll focus on the exciting new release that has been sneakily dropped online, also called 'New.'

Produced by Mark Ronson, the bouncy new song, 'New,' harks back to The Beatles sound with its marching piano chords, nostalgic harpsichord effect and lovesick lyrics. Of course, because it's had Ronson within 10 feet of it, it has a bulbous horn section but has been thankfully saved from the grating trumpet-plagued ubiquity of the producer's work of yesteryear.

Bruno Mars has revealed a slightly surprising influence on his new album Unorthodox Jukebox – the late British blues singer Amy Winehouse! We reviewed the multi-million selling 27 year-old’s second album and, though we found ourselves impressed with it, we must admit we’d be hard-pushed to pinpoint the Winehouse influence stylistically.

However, talking to The Associated Press, Mars said "I felt like everything I've been saying, everything I wanted to do, she did it. It was one of those things like, 'Damn it! Damn it!' It was perfect.” He went on to enthuse "You couldn't put it in a box 'cause it could be played on rock stations, it could be played on rhythmic stations, it could be played on pop radio, and I've always wanted to make music like that – that could be spread out, and can't be pigeon-held to one thing. And they did it. Her and Mark Ronson."

Mars once again re-enlisted the help of his song writing pals The Smeezingtons for Unorthodox Jukebox but also has Mark Ronson on too – who of course was instrumental in Winehouse’s fame. Talking of the additional collaborations on the album – several producers are involved – Mars enthused “That's when the fun comes in. Now, it's time to have some fun. Let's put the dream band together... I love their take on pop music... It was a big ole science project.” Unorthodox Jukebox is out now and, a challenge from The Game notwithstanding, should find itself on top of the US Billboard 200 this weekend.

Like many artists that eventually plough their way out of the woodwork, Bruno Mars began his career as a writer for other singers. His work crops up in the portfolios of Flo Rider, Alexandra Burke, Sean Kingston, Travie McCoy, Adam Levine and Brandy. He even co-wrote Cee Lo Green's 'Forget You'. However, he always set his sights very high and revealed in an interview recently that he aspired to the musical heights of Amy Winehouse- which, it appears, is why he's now teaming up with Mark Ronson, the producer that pushed Amy into super-stardom.

"It was perfect," he said, of Amy's Back to Black album. "You couldn't put it in a box 'cause it could be played [anywhere]... And they did it. Her and Mark Ronson." Having grown up listening to a wide variety of music, all of it has rubbed off but in a kind of mis-matched way, he's an endearing if not brilliant patchwork quilt. His latest album 'Unorthodox Dukebox' is also a great patchwork, as Mars has brought together some of the business' best producers including Diplo, The Smeezingtons (who did his entire first album), Jeff Bhasker, Paul Epworth, and Emile Haynie. He described these collaborations to the Associated Press as "a big ole science project."

The album has got fairl good reviews so far but he's already joking about a future 'comeback', saying "You know my sister sings, my brother plays drums in my band. My whole family is a bunch of musicians. So, when the right time comes, you'll see it on some kind of reunion tour, CBS special, 'Behind the Music: Bruno's Family,' trying to revive my career." 

Oh My God: Nick Hodgson Has Announced His Departure From The Kaiser Chiefs

Kaiser Chiefs drummer Nick Hodgson has quit the band after 15 years. The drummer, backing vocalist and primary songwriting announced the news on Twitter on Tuesday (December 4, 2012), telling fans of the Leeds band, "I can confirm I have left Kaiser Chiefs after 15 spectacular years. I'm moving on. I wish the rest of the band the very best!"

His band-mates tweeted their support for Nick's decision and there doesn't appear to be any bad blood over his departure. Lead singer Ricky Wilson said, "@nickkaiserchief The door is on the latch and the key under the mat," while bass player Simon Rix said, "good luck to @nickkaiserchief with his plans. I can exclusively confirm we will still be collaborating on pints in pubs." Named after Kaizer Chiefs, the South African football team and onetime home of Leeds legend Lucas Radebe, the Kaisers formed after Hodgson met Wilson and guitarist Andrew White (firstly calling themselves Runston Parva, and then Parva). He played with the band for six albums in total and wrote a string of their biggest hits, including, Oh My God, I Predict A Riot and Ruby.

No one throws a Halloween party like Jonathan Ross so it would seem! The great and the good of the celebrity world dressed up in their most unholy gladrags to attend a special party at the television presenter's house. Leading the way was (500 Days) Of Summer actress Chloe Moretz whose dripping black-painted make-up couldn't disguise a beaming smile from the teen star. Jamie Hince and Kate Moss were also in attendance, the musician and the model pulling off a damn fine look as Gomez and Morticia Addams from The Addams Family.

Amy Winehouse’s headstone has finally been unveiled in Edgware, North London, and features the names of the singer’s closest family and friends. The Camden-based star’s collaborator Mark Ronson is mentioned, as is her soul singing goddaughter Dionne Bromfield.

The stone – inscribed with pink writing – carries a prominent tribute to Amy’s late grandmother Cynthia Levy, with the singer’s name featuring below. It reads, “Forever in the hearts of their devoted family”. The headstone also features a host of other colleagues and friends who were close to the singer, including manager Raye Cosbert, backing singers Zalon Thompson and Ade Omotayo and Dale Davis, her long-time bass player. Reg Traviss – her boyfriend at the time of her death – is mentioned, as is her best friend Tyler James, who most recently featured on the BBC singing contest The Voice. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Winehouse’s ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil is conspicuous by his absence on the headstone.

The unveiling of the headstone comes as a new box-set ‘Amy Winehouse at the BBC’ was announced. Set to hit shelves on November 12, the package includes a total of four discs, three of which are compilations of live performances.
