It’s been a big week for new music releases in the Billboard 200 albums chart, as all of top three positions are taken by new entries. The soundtrack to smash musical drama ‘Empire’ has edged out Madonna’s new album to claim the top spot in this week’s chart.

The Fox hit series been tearing up the music charts as well as the TV ratings, selling 130,000 units in the week ending March 15th, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It was also the third highest-rated primetime broadcast of the week, with last Wednesday’s episode attracting 14.9 million viewers.

Taylor Swift Sittin' Pretty At Number One For 11th Week

Taylor Swift Ed Sheeran Sam Smith Fifth Harmony Meghan Trainor Bob Dylan Nicki Minaj Maroon 5 Diana Krall

It’s getting to be a bit like Groundhog Day… another Wednesday, another week at Number 1 for the musical machine that is Taylor Swift. 1989 has notched up an eleventh non-consecutive week at the top of the US Billboard 200, according to figures released by Nielsen SoundScan.

It means that the album, released 15 weeks ago way back November, is now equal with Swift’s second record Fearless for her longest reign at the top. In all that time, it has been no lower than Number 2, interrupted by one week stints for One Direction, J.Cole, Meghan Trainor and Fall Out Boy.

It has now spent ten non-consecutive weeks atop the chart, replicating the feat she achieved over 2008-09 with her second album Fearless.

The Verdict On Maroon 5's New Single, 'Maps'

Maroon 5 Ryan Seacrest Gwen Stefani

The wait for new Maroon 5 material is finally over. The band unleashed their brand new single, ‘Maps,’ and it’s the first taste we have from their upcoming album, V, out September 2 via Interscope Records. ‘Maps’ is Maroon 5 like you’ve never seen them before as the group enters uncharted territory with a song that’s bound to reach number one on the radio charts in no time. Produced by the same hit makers that brought you Overexposed’s ‘Payphone,’ ‘Maps’ has that same catchy flare to it featuring Adam Levine’s ever familiar falsetto. It’s a mid-tempo pop jam that never stops hitting, and it’s one of the best tracks we’ve heard from Maroon 5 yet.

Adam Levine SingingMaroon 5 releases their new single, 'Maps'

While ‘Maps’ is certainly different, it has an addictive chorus like none other. “All the worse you took came back to me/So I’m following the map that leads to you/The map that leads to you/Ain’t nothing I can do,” Levine croons, and there ain’t nothing you can do about having it stuck in your head all summer. Though the lyrics may speak of heartbreak, Levine says it’s about a little more than just that. “It’s complicated. It’s also kind of not giving up on things too. People go through a lot of things and get stepped on and step on others and we all make mistakes. It’s kind of more about not giving up on something, even though maybe you should,” Levine told Ryan Seacrest about the track on Monday.

Maroon 5's Announcements: All You Need To Know

Maroon 5

Maroon 5 fans got a pleasant surprise earlier this week, and for once it didn’t involve anything about ‘The Voice’ or frontman Adam Levine’s dyed hair. In fact, the pop-superstars had a barrage of announcements to make, but let’s start with what is perhaps the biggest one: Maroon 5 will be releasing their new album, V, on September 2.

Adam Levine and James ValentineAdam Levine sporting his new 'do with bandmate James Valentine

So, is V going to be pronounced like the letter V, or the roman numeral for five? Not like it makes a difference in the first place, but this album does happen to be the group’s fifth full-length. It will be following-up 2012’s Overexposed which shot the band to new heights, as it gave them yet another platinum record to add to their collection, and definitely had their most successful singles to date (all four singles reached the top ten on Billboard). Although its been noted that they’ve been in the studio creating album number five, the timing is a bit surprising. Overexposed felt like it had the potential to churn out a few more hits, like ‘Lucky Strike’ and ‘The Man Who Never Lied,’ especially after the melancholy last single, ‘Love Somebody.’ However, we’re certainly not complaining.

Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars and Katy Perry are among the names confirmed for the iHeartRadio Music Festival at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas in September. The two-day festival, set to be held on September 20 and 21, will also feature performances from Elton John, Keith Urban and a special pairing of Queen (with Brian May) and the former American Idol star Adam Lambert.

The main festival line-up was announced on Monday morning (July 15, 2013) in a press conference hosted by Ryan Seacrest. A final schedule will be announced closer to the festival, though Timberlake, Perry, Elton and Bruno Mars are likely to be the marquee names. The likes of Muse, Tiesto, Chris Brown, Fun, Phoenix, Maroon 5, Tim Mcgraw, Ke&ha, Thirty Seconds to Mars and Benny Benassi are other high profile names to have been confirmed.

Last year's festivals played host to No Doubt, Pink, Usher and Swedish House Mafia though it will be remembered for Billie Joe Armstrong's meltdown during Green Day's set. After smashing the band's instruments in protest of his set being cut short, Armstrong left the stage and was admitted to rehab the next day, cancelling his band's tour dates and promotional appearances.

Miley Cyrus J. Cole Muse Maroon 5 30 Seconds to Mars Justin Timberlake Chris Brown Keith Urban

Prepare for strangeness, as the iHeart Radio music festival is once again upon us and it comes with an eclectic lineup once again this year. Said lineup has now been announced, and while there won’t be another meltdown from Green Day frontman Billy Joe Armstrong, since the band won’t be performing this year, there are still plenty of names on their for fans of various genres to get excited about.

Justin Timberlake, Wireless Festival
Productive as ever, Justin Timberlake will make an appearance.

For anyone who’s following current musical trends, Justin Timberlake and Ke$ha both feature in the lineup, as do J Cole, Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, AWOLNATION and even 30 Seconds to Mars – pretty much everyone, who has an album to promote, it would seem. The festivities will once again be based in Las Vegas, taking place over Sept 20 and 21. There are some changes to the festival structure as well, with the addition of the iHeart village, featuring such talent as Miley Cyrus and Avril Lavigne. The village is actually a brand new festival stage – according to the official website “ On Saturday, September 21, from 10a - 4p, the iHeartRadio Music Festival Village takes over a brand-new outdoor venue, The Lot, right on the Strip. ” The full lineup (for both the main stage and the village) is listed below, curtesy of the official iHeart website.

Adam Levine Tweets Americans The Definition Of 'Humorless'

Adam Levine NBC Shakira Usher Blake Shelton Maroon 5

Adam Levine made a half-apology to Americans yesterday for muttering "I hate this country" during the closing credits of The Voice. We say half-apology because the Maroon 5 took to Twitter to post dictionary definitions of the words "humourless," "lighthearted," "joke" and "misunderstand." Hmm.

In fairness to Levine, his remarks really were pretty throw-away and he was obviously upset that two of his three acts had been eliminated from the NBC singing contest - one of them, Judith Hill, had been the favorite for weeks. The pop singer also released a statement through NBC which classifies that he really doesn't hate America. "I obviously love my country very much and my comments last night were made purely out of frustration," Levine said. "Being a part of The Voice, I am passionately invested in my team and want to see my artists succeed."

Levine added that the elimination of two of his acts was "confusing and downright emotion," and that his remarks were based on "personal dissatisfaction with the results," adding, "I am very connected to my artists and know they have long careers ahead, regardless of their outcome on the show."

Maroon 5 Forced To Pull Out Of U.K. And Ireland Shows

Maroon 5 were due to undertake a stadium tour of the United Kingdom and Ireland, before embarking on a tour-date tour of mainland Europe, over the course of June and July; however the band have recently announced that they have been forced to pull out of the scheduled performances. In a statement on their website, the band cite 'scheduling conflicts' for the rescheduling.

The band were due to perform six dates over the course of June, before heading to Paris and then Amsterdam on July 2 and 3 respectively for a mini-European tour. All eight dates have now been rescheduled to take place in January 2014, with the band telling fans via their official website that any purchased ticket will be valid for the new shows. The group also mentioned that should they prefer to receive a refund instead, they need to return their tickets by no later than June 30.

Maroon 5 Already Have Some 'Great Songs' Written For Their Next Album

Maroon 5 Adam Levine Kelly Clarkson

Maroon 5 are one of those bands that just don't know when to slow down, and the constantly at work boy band are as busy as ever it would seem following the announcement that they are already a few songs into the follow-up to last years Overexposed album. Obviously doing time in the studio isn't unusual for bands, but their progress comes as a surprise given everything else the band have to look forward to, including an upcoming summer tour with Kelly Clarkson and frontman Adam Levine's commitment to The Voice.

Adam Levine
Adam Levine has been a busy man over the past few months, and it looks as though he has no signs of slowing down.

Levine was speaking to the Associated Press recently about the band's on-going commitments, when he was quizzed on the progress of what will be the group's fifth album. He told AP that the album is still in the early stages but they are excited for people to hear to songs nonetheless. He said,"We're just getting started. We've got some great songs in the can."

Taylor Swift Vs One Direction: Battle Of The Exes Commences At Kids Choice Awards

Taylor Swift One Direction Harry Styles Adele Pink Maroon 5

This is why they tell you not to date anyone at the office. You have a whirlwind romance, it's all lovey-dovey for about four weeks and then you break up. And suddenly work is a very difficult place to be and everyone else around you feels uncomfortable. It's even more of a challenge when it comes to celebs because being famous is all part of the job and being nominated for awards, while being a privilege, can sometimes bring two foes into one room. That's precisely the case for Taylor Swift and Harry Styles (One Direction) who are both nominated for favorite song at the Kids Choice Awards. Uh-oh!

Swift and Styles dated for a couple of months in what seemed a really intense relationship. They managed to get away on three holidays before breaking up on the third. It would have been a little awkward for them even to be in the same room as one another, but competing for the same award - Yikes! Professionals that they are, we're sure they'll be able to handle it.

For favorite song, Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" is nominated, as is "What Makes You Beautiful". They're both also up for other awards: Swift is up for favorite female artist against stiff competition in the form of Adele, Katy Perry and P!nk. While 1D is also up for favorite group, against Big Time Rush, Bon Jovi and Maroon 5. For Kids Choice Awards, we have a feeling the 5-piece boy band will run away with that one.

Grammy's Cover-Up Dress Code: Surely Rihanna Was Intended Recipient?

Rihanna Jack White Maroon 5 Wiz Khalifa Taylor Swift Grammy Awards

Is it unfair to assume that Rihanna was the most likely target of the Grammys’ dress code warning email? We’re looking down the list of performers and you know what? We don’t think this email was directed at Jack White. We don’t think it was directed at Alicia Keys. And we really don’t think it was directed at Maroon 5. Deadline.com got hold of the missive, which was emailed out to the ceremony’s live performers and anyone who may appear on camera, instructing them to “be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered.” And reminding them that “thong type costumes are problematic.” And there was some very specific rules about which parts of your breasts may and may not be on display (none of it, basically). And don’t even ask about the rules on the visibility of genitalia.

We’re really struggling to picture Taylor Swift rocking up on stage in a “thong type costume.” Mumford & Sons doing some kind of striptease, mid-song? We can’t see it. We also can’t picture the Preservation Hall Band exposing their butt cracks (unless they drop something, maybe and need to bend down to fetch it). At a push, we can imagine hip-hop star Wiz Khalifa might have his trousers a little low-slung, risking the exposure of some part of his junk, or his trunk but seriously? There’s only one person this email was aimed at and that’s Rihanna, surely?

The 24 year old has a history of stepping out in risky outfits. Remember the semi-see-through striped dress of 2009? The mid-riff display and leather hot-pants from last year’s Grammys (some definite buttock curvature on display there)? The barely-there strapless bra top and equally-barely-there denim cut offs, complete with fishnets that she opted for in Ottawa in 2011? Yep. We reckon that email was intended for Rihanna. Everyone else can just relax.

Mick Jagger Breaks Silence On Maroon 5's 'Moves Like Jagger'

Mick Jagger Rolling Stones David Letterman Maroon 5 Christina Aguilera Adam Levine Kesha Cher Lloyd

Mick Jagger has finally broken his silence on the subject of Maroon 5's number one hit 'Moves Like Jagger' and revealed that he didn't get paid anything for his reference in the song.

The Rolling Stones lead vocalist appeared for an interview on 'The Late Show with David Letterman' and, to the viewers' amusement, produced a list entitled: 'Top Ten Things I, Mick Jagger, Have Learned After 50 Years In Rock 'n' Roll'. On the list was a light-hearted dig at Maroon 5's song 'Moves Like Jagger' featuring Christina Aguilera, the video of which begins with footage of Jagger in his younger years and later shows singer Adam Levine trying out some of the famous dance moves. Jagger had written on his list that he had learned that "You don't earn a cent when someone does a song about having moves like Jagger." The music legend also drew laughs from his other advice which included, "Be considerate of other hotel guests - trash your room by 10 pm" and, "Before shouting 'Hi Seattle!' make sure you're in Seattle."

'Moves Like Jagger' is not the first number one hit that has referenced the star; he has also been mentioned in Ke$ha's 'TiK ToK' ('We kick em to the curb unless they look like Mick Jagger') and Cher Lloyd's 'Swagger Jagger'.

Eminem And 50 Cent Get Personal In ‘My Life’ Video, Ft. Adam Levine

50 Cent Eminem Adam Levine Maroon 5

50 Cent and Eminem are getting deep, with their new music video, featuring Maroon 5’s Adam Levine. The video for ‘My Life’ premiered on MTV yesterday and Eminem told MTV that it's one big expensive metaphor for his and Fiddy’s lives. Okay, so he didn’t use the words big or expensive but he definitely said the rest. And we reckon it was probably dead expensive, that video. It looks very slick.

“The video is kind of abstract; it's kind of metaphoric in a sense, like the paranoia of feeling like we're being chased,” says Eminem, who probably has been chased before. By police. And women. Maybe dogs. “Whether it's true or not, it's kind of how we feel. It's kind of a metaphor for us running for our lives. Personal lives and from fame, everything that goes with the game.” Ah, ‘the game.’ We love it when rappers talk about ‘the game.’ No one has a clue what they’re on about but it’s very important to them so it must be respected at all times. Compared to their collaborations in the past, ‘My Life’ is pretty personal. “Me and Fif can probably go on forever talkin' about our lives,” said Eminem, though we reckon that an MP3 that lasted “forever” probably wouldn’t sell very well, so it’s best that they didn’t do that.

In the video, 50 Cent and Eminem play a pair of fugitives on the run from the cops, who are chasing them with helicopters. The song is taken from his forthcoming album, Street King Immortal, scheduled for release in February 2013.

Family Affari: Justin Bieber and his mother Pattie at the AMA Awards in Los Angeles

"The next Justin Bieber" has been a phrase bandied around the music industry for the past couple of years. Who would take the Canadian superstar's pop mantel once he moved onto more mature things? British X Factor stars One Direction have had a phenomenal 12 months and for a short time it looked as though the pop buying masses may be growing a little tired of young Mr Bieber.

The 18-year-old split from his long-time girlfriend Selena Gomez last week, citing their respective working schedules as the reason. Nobody would have blamed Bieber had he decided against attending the American Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday evening (November 18, 2012), though there he was, a huge smile on his face, his mother by his side. The Canadian took home all three of the major awards, beating Rihanna, Katy Perry, Maroon 5 and Drake to be crowned Artist of the Year. He dedicated the win to his mother Pattie Mallette, who was instrumental in getting her son noticed during the early days. "This is for all the haters who thought that maybe I was just here for one or two years, but I feel like I am going to be here for a very long time," later adding, "It's hard growing up with everything going on, with everyone watching me. I wanted to say that as as long as you guys keep believing in me, I want to always make you proud." Bieber also won best pop/rock male artist and best pop/rock album for Believe. It was a peculiar awards' evening, with One Direction expected to dominate. They left empty handed after nominations for pop/rock band, pop/rock album and new artist of the year. Carly Rae Jepsen was the surprise winner of the latter award.

Maroon 5 Hold 'Gangnam Style' At Number Two For Eighth Week With 'One More Night'

Maroon 5 Psy Christina Aguilera Rihanna Calvin Harris Fun Taylor Swift

Maroon 5's new single 'One More Night' stays at number one in the charts for the eighth week running, kicking Psy's 'Gangnam Style' to number two.

The pop band have also beaten their own record by doubling their previous hit 'Moves Like Jagger' featuring Christina Aguilera which remained at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for just four weeks. South Korean rapper Psy, whose hilarious hit 'Gangnam Style' originally hit the charts at number one has dropped to number two for its seventh week. Last week, the points between the two songs were scarce at just 600, but more and more listeners seem to be enjoying 'One More Night' as this week 2,000 points separate the two tunes. It is also in its fifth week on top of the Radio Songs chart while Psy still stands at the top on the Digital Songs and On-Demand Songs charts. The last seven week run at number one was Rihanna with 'We Found Love' featuring Calvin Harris in November and December 2011.

At number three is Fun.'s 'Some Nights' while 'Diamonds' by Rihanna goes from number five to number four. Taylor Swift's 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' is now at number five having survived three weeks at number one on its release.

Taylor Swift To Co-Host The Grammy Nominations

Taylor Swift LL Cool J Maroon 5 Luke Bryan

Taylor Swift can put no foot wrong it seems, as her album sells outrageously quickly, and now she has been picked to host the Grammy nominations, from her home town, Nashville, which is also the hometown of country music.

She will join LL Cool J in the announcements, as well as Maroon 5 and Luke Bryan who will both be performing at the show, and plenty of more performers will be announced a later date. Swift and LL Cool J will release the nominations in the main categories on December 5th, ahead of the main show that will be aired in February 2013. Swift's participation helps mark the Grammys' own celebration of her predominant genre of country music, according to Reuters.

Taylor Swift is already the recipient of 6 Grammys, a number which may be increased next year. She's currently on a massive promotional tour in aid of her latest album 'Red'. As part of her promotions, the Mirror reports that she has been getting closer and closer to Ed Sheeran who will be touring with her in next year's mammoth 58 day tour of the US. If these rumours are true, that may be the quickest relationship turnaround in history, as she has only just broken up with her most recent boyfriend, 18-year-old Connor Kennedy.

Girl Power At The 2012 American Music Awards: Nicki Minaj And Rihanna Lead The Way

Nicki Minaj Rihanna Justin Bieber Katy Perry Maroon 5 Drake Mariah Carey Adele Taylor Swift One Direction Kelly Clarkson Train Carrie Underwood Miranda Lambert Usher

Nicki Minaj and Rihanna are expected to clean up at the 2012 American Music Awards, with four nominations apiece, reports Reuters.

Rihanna is top of the table for the main category, as she wards off competition from Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Maroon 5 and Canadian rapper Drake for artist of the year. She’s also in line for female soul/R&B artist and best album, and will lock horns with Minaj for the female pop/rock artist category. Minaj could be recognized for her album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, in both the pop/rock and rap/hip hop categories this year, and she’s nominated for favorite rap artist, too. Minaj has been attracting extra attention recently; her very public feud with Mariah Carey on American Idol culminated in a strange gun threat, but most seem sure the ‘diva-off’ is being played up by Fox to boost the talent show’s viewership.

Elsewhere in the awards, teenage singer Bieber landed three nominations this year, tying with British boy band One Direction, Maroon 5, Drake and R&B star Usher. Adele and Taylor Swift – who dominated the awards last year - received one nomination apiece. Swift will fight for female country artist against Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert, while Adele was nominated in the favorite adult contemporary artist category alongside Kelly Clarkson and Train. The AMA’s - which will be celebrating its 40th anniversary this year - are determined by fans through online voting, which starts on Tuesday. The ceremony and performance show will be broadcast live from Los Angeles on November 18.

How Psy’s Gangnam Style Took Over The Billboard Hot 100

Psy Maroon 5 Adam Levine Rebecca Black Christina Aguilera

Psy’s Gangnam Style – with its strange rap lyrics and crazy dance video – has jumped from No.11 to No.2 on the Billboard Hot 100, meaning it’s now truly made the transition from viral sensation to commercial powerhouse. Though the YouTube video has been viewed 285 million times, the single has now been downloaded 301,000 times, skyrocketing it up the chart and proving music fans simply aren’t happy with the video alone.

Its sales this week represented a 69 per increase, and it’s now perilously close to becoming the No.1 song in America (currently held by Maroon 5 with ‘One More Night’.) According to Billboard, the gap between the two songs is so tight that Psy could easily overtake Adam Levine and his gang on next week’s chart. It’s a sensational rise to stardom for the South Korean rapper and proof that an internet viral track (or video) can perform on the official charts too. Last year, Rebecca Black’s ‘Friday’ became the most talked about song of the moment (thanks to a cringe-worthy video and even worse lyrics) though it only managed No.58 on the U.S. chart. So what’s the difference with ‘Gangnam Style’? Well, it’s probably a variety of factors though it probably boils down to the fact that pop music fans feel slightly less embarrassed about getting up and dancing to the LMFAO-esque ‘Gangnam Style’ then they did grooving along to Black’s “Friday, Friday, kicking back on Friday.”

Elsewhere on the chart this week, Christina Aguilera’s ‘Your Body’ debuted at a relatively poor No.34, having been downloaded 103,000 times.

The Voice Swaps Christina Aguilera For Shakira

Shakira Christina Aguilera Usher Cee-Lo Green Maroon 5 Adam Levine Blake Shelton

The Voice is already securing it’s mentoring line-up for the forthcoming spring season in 2013, bringing in Columbian superstar Shakira in a straight swap for Christina Aguilera.

The show, which demolished The X-Factor USA in its season premiere, has also brought in Usher for Cee Lo Green, according to Entertainment Weekly. The new additions are part of NBC’s plan to develop an “on-going tent of talent” for the show, though Aguilera is likely to return after promoting her new album. Executive producer Mark Burnett said of the new line-up, “Having award-winning artists as coaches means they need to be able to tour…Whether in the red chair or on tour, our coaches have their chairs for life. This is exactly why, after three seasons, we needed to allow them to rotate out so they can get on the road amongst their fans. Meanwhile, we’re incredibly excited to have singular artists like Usher and Shakira joining the fold.” It’s probably a wise move by show bosses, who will be all too aware of the sinking ratings of The X Factor and American Idol, both of which have failed to come up with original concepts in recent years and relied too heavily on all-star judging names.

Country singer Blake Shelton and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine will continue on the spring season of The Voice.

The Voice: Usher, Shakira In: Christina, Cee-Lo Out

Usher Shakira Cee-Lo Green Christina Aguilera Adam Levine Maroon 5 Blake Shelton

If you thought The Voice would rest on its laurels after last season’s huge success, then you thought very, very wrong. Not content with demolishing The X-Factor USA in its season premiere, show bosses have already begun tweaking the judging line-up for the forthcoming spring season.

Christina Aguilera – perhaps the most high profile of the four mentors – is being replaced by Colombian pop princess Shakira, while Cee-Lo Green will make way for R&B star Usher, according to Entertainment Weekly. The new additions are part of NBC’s plan to develop an “on-going tent of talent” for the show, though fans of Christina and Cee-Lo shouldn’t worry too much: they haven’t been sacked. The former is releasing a new album and will go on tour, while Green is developing new music and working on a scripted comedy series based on his life – both are likely to return for a later season. Having a rotational judging line-up is an interesting concept, and executive producer Mark Burnett firmly believes that it’s the way forward, saying, “Having award-winning artists as coaches means they need to be able to tour…Whether in the red chair or on tour, our coaches have their chairs for life. This is exactly why, after three seasons, we needed to allow them to rotate out so they can get on the road amongst their fans. Meanwhile, we’re incredibly excited to have singular artists like Usher and Shakira joining the fold.”

Country singer Blake Shelton and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine will continue on the spring season of The Voice – though it’s unclear whether this is through lack of work, or just because they love spinning their mechanical chairs around.

Adam Levine Reveals The Secret Of Maroon 5's Name To Billy Joel

Maroon 5 Adam Levine Billy Joel

Adam Levine, the frontman for Maroon 5, recently broke a pact with the band when he told the singer Billy Joel about the meaning behind the band's name. Until now, only the members of Maroon 5 actually knew the meaning behind the name.

The revelation only came after Joel offered to tell Levine a similar secret. In a recent interview, Levine stated, "I'm a huge Billy Joel fan. I was having dinner at Nobu in New York, and I ran into Jay-Z, who I'd just met, and he introduced me to Billy. I had to ask him, 'What do you say in the sax solo in Still Rock And Roll?, because I thought he said, 'All right, Rico.' He was astonished. He took a second and said, 'All right, Rico.'"

It was this secret that led to Levine disclosing the reason behind the band's name. He continued on to explain "Later he came over and asked, 'Where'd you get the name?' It's the stupidest, s**tiest story you've ever heard, but I had to tell him."
