Film funnyman Martin Lawrence bought his high school art teacher a new car after making in it Hollywood - because his success was all down to her. Lawrence claims Miss Henderson - who he nicknamed Froggy - gave him the opportunity to vent his creativity, and showed him a way to make money by being funny. He tells American magazine Maxim, "The first person who encouraged me to get into comedy was my high school art teacher, Miss Henderson. "I'd always disrupt her class, so she said, 'If you can just chill during class, I'll give you the last five minutes to make us laugh. Then one day she mentioned this open mic night at a club. "She said, 'If you become an actor, you can buy me a car. "As soon as the cheques started coming in, I bought her a car."
