Kyle XY's Matt Dallas Comes Out As Gay And Announces Engagements
Despite rumours for years, Matt Dallas has only just come out as gay, and it's also joined by the joyous news of his engagement with his fiancée Blue Hamilton.
The star of Kyle XY has been linked with other actors in the past, but he has never explicitly said anything about it. In a tweet he said, "Starting off the year with a new fiancé, @bluehamilton. A great way to kick off 2013!" The tweet was accompanied by a photo of Hamilton, along with a golden Labrador. Back in December he tweeted another photo that read 'I think I like who I am becoming', which in retrospect seems linked to this news.
The downplay of his coming out shows that homosexuality isn't a case of 'coming out', but simply of being, as the Huffington post refers to it, a case of "I've never been in." An editor of theirs says: "Gone are the days of... celebrities making a spectacle of coming out." There has been a lot of support from numerous straight celebrity couples including Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, plus Kristen Bell and her partner Dax Shepherd have both said they wont marry until same sex marriage laws are passed.
