British funnyman Matt Lucas is recovering after undergoing root canal surgery last week (ends21Jul13).

The Bridesmaids star sought professional help for his tooth problems and he kept fans updated about the procedure on his Twitter.com page.

Lucas uploaded a photograph of himself in the dentist's chair, and he returned to the site on Sunday (21Jul13) to show off a personalised greetings card, depicting a smiling mouth.

He added, "Post-root canal surgery soreness feels better when your friend... sends you a bespoke Get Well Soon card."
