Megan Fox On Part-Time Acting And Full-Time Motherhood

Have you noticed a lack of Megan Fox in media lately? Well, it was intentional. The Jennifer’s Body actress recently mentioned in an interview.

“I’ve never been an extraordinarily ambitious girl or career-oriented, but especially once I got pregnant with my first son and now [having] my second, it’s so hard to be a working mom especially when your heart is not in your work, when your heart is with your family,” the 28-year-old mother of two told Parents magazine.

Fox is now a mother of two (when did that happen) and says she is very happy in her marriage to Beverly Hills 90210 star Austin Brian Green and doesn’t feel the passion for acting anymore. In her interview, Fox explains: “I have to make one movie a year because I have to invest in their future and I have to be able to pay their way through college and be able to provide for them.”

Fox usually goes for ensemble projects, where she wouldn't have to spend more than 20 days on set.

“Them” is referring to 2-year-old Noah Shannon Green and 4-month-old Bodhi Ransom Green as well as Green’s son from a previous marriage, 12-year-old Kassius.

Recently, Fox has appeared in 2012’s This Is 40 and the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. When she does work, however, Fox makes sure to choose projects that don’t interfere with her family life.

“I’m looking for movies that will shoot in Los Angeles, for projects where I’m part of an ensemble so I can shoot in and out in 10-20 days. It’s all about trying to spend as little time away from my kids as possible.”

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is due out Aug. 8.
