It’s the circle of life – while some girl groups are reuniting, others are calling it quits for good. Such is the fate of 90s wonder The Spice Girls, at least as far as Melanie Chisholm (Mel C) is concerned. The singer commented for The Sun that the group, comprising of herself, Melanie Brown, Geri Halliwell, Emma Burton and Victoria Beckham (nee Adams) wasn’t likely to head back in to the studio to record new music. However, she didn’t rule out further tours, so all is not lost for the five remaining Spice Girls fans out there.

In the meantime, Mel C is pursuing some creative endeavors of her own and targeting the talent show market this time. While it isn’t clear whether producers of BBC’s The Voice have actually contacted the performer, she does seem to have her sights set on a judging spot. It makes perfect sense, following the natural progression from pop star to fading/faded popstar to reality show judge.

“I’d absolutely love to do The Voice,” the former Spice Girl told The Telegraph. “I really enjoyed being a judge on Superstar and television is exciting and a new thing for me."

Presenter Holly Willouby is also in favor of the idea – if only to inject some girl power into the format once again. For the Telegraph, she said: “For the sake of the panel, it needs to be, otherwise it would be the wrong balance.
