Melissa McCarthy managed to go from DMX to Pocahontas during an epic Lip Sync Battle with Jimmy Fallon on Monday’s edition of ‘The Tonight Show’. The comedian used glitter, a wind machine and flying furry toys to give a unique performance of ‘Colors of the Wind’ from the Disney soundtrack, leaving Fallon and the rest of the audience lost for words.

Before the battle began Fallon had admitted he was nervous and McCarthy said she was too, but for different reasons. "I don't get nervous a lot, I'm pretty freaked out about crushing you,” McCarthy told the host.

Lip sync veteran Fallon was up first and chose 70s classic ‘Brand New Key’, about a girl with a new pair of roller skates. For McCarthy’s turn she chose something completely unexpected, dismissing the mic stand and donning a baseball cap to perform DMX's ‘Gonna Give It To Ya’.

Next Fallon tackled Zayn Malik’s ‘Pillowtalk’, complete with a pillow but sadly without model Gigi Hadid. Fallon might have thought he’d done well with the props, but the late night host clearly had no idea what was coming next.

Putting on a pair of safety goggles, McCarthy said: "I'm obviously going to close with a song from the Pocahontas soundtrack.” As she began miming along to ‘Colors of the Wind’ suddenly the safety goggles made sense as she was hit with water, glitter, leaves and even stuffed animals.
