Michael Buble is already getting fans in the mood for the festive season, by releasing his new album 'Christmas' on Tuesday (25th October 2011). The record is a follow up to the jazz singer's shorter EP titled 'Let it Snow'.
The Canadian star's fifth studio album, 'Christmas' features renditions of festive favourites such as Jingle Bells, All I Want for Christmas is You, Silent Night and White Christmas - all with Michaels' signature jazz twist. To record the latter track, the 33-year-old called upon one of the world's biggest country stars and relied on the power of the internet. Buble and Shania Twain recorded the duet via Skype while he was in Napa, she was in Switzerland and producer David Foster was in Los Angeles. Speaking to the Toronto Sun about the unusual collaboration, Michael said, "It was a happy day, I love recording with her. This entire record was the most important of probably of my life. Because I was hugely affected by Bing Crosby's White Christmas record. It introduced me to jazz music". Meanwhile, the singer releases his first memoir 'Onstage Offstage' on 29th November 2011, featuring photography from his world tours and candid writing from the man himself.
It appears to be a busy time in the singer's household, given his Argentinan-born wife Luisana Lopilato has just been unveiled as the new face of leading lingerie brand 'Ultimo'.
