The legendary music producer has taken aim at the chart-topping star's songwriting talents, suggesting that her tunes are too hook-heavy.

Quincy - who has previously worked with the likes of Michael Jackson and Frank Sinatra - told GQ magazine: ''We need more songs, man. F**king songs, not hooks.''

After a nearly four-year long legal dispute, this week Michael Jackson's long-term producer Quincy Jones is finally awarded nearly $10 million after he sued the estate for in unpaid royalties from music used in the star's documentary and two shows from Cirque du Soleil.

On Wednesday (July 26th 2017), the 84-year-old producer was handed a massive $9.4 million in damages for lack of royalties from music used in the 2009 'This Is It' documentary and two Cirque du Soleil shows. It's less than a third of the $30 million he originally sued for.

Sky have announced that they’re cancelling the broadcast of an episode of the forthcoming ‘Urban Myths’ series following the outcry over the casting of Joseph Fiennes, a white actor, as Michael Jackson.

Paris Jackson, the late star’s 18 year old daughter, waded in on Twitter on Wednesday (January 11th) to express her outrage over the first casting pictures and trailers that were released at the start of this week, which showed Fiennes wearing facial prosthetics to make him resemble the King of Pop.

“I'm so incredibly offended by it, as I’m sure plenty of people are as well, and it honestly makes me want to vomit,” Paris tweeted.

According to The Guardian, Fiennes will play the King of Pop in a one-off special for Sky Arts which dramatises a road trip he allegedly took alongside Elizabeth Taylor and Marlon Brando, following 9/11.

Originally promoted with a western-themed music video, McCartney commissioned Ryan Heffington, who worked on Sia’s ‘Chandelier’ video, to update the track for 2015.

Joe Jackson, the father of Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson, is in intensive care following a stroke he suffered on Sunday, according to a Brazilian hospital.

An emailed statement from the Albert Einstein hospital in Sao Paolo on Monday morning (July 27th) said that the 87 year old patriarch of the Jackson family had a stroke the previous day and was admitted to their intensive care facility. The statement also says that he has an irregular heartbeat, but does not disclose Jackson’s precise condition at this time.

A new interview has revealed that one of the most hated movie characters of all time – Jar Jar Binks in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, no less – might have been even more annoying. Michael Jackson was apparently very enthusiastic to play the irritating Gungan in prosthetic limbs, but was refused by George Lucas.

Ahmed Best, who actually did play Jar Jar, gave an interview with Vice on Thursday in which he made the revelation. Jackson, who passed away in June 2009, was known to be a keen Star Wars fan, keeping life-size figures of Darth Vader, C-3PO and Boba Fett at his Neverland ranch.

The former Neverland Ranch, which has been renamed Sycamore Valley Ranch, is being sold by the Estate of Michael Jackson. The 2700 acre estate, located in California, was once notorious for both its fantastical theme park installations and for the extensive searches which were carried out when Jackson was accused of molesting a minor in 2003.
