Michael Kors thinks London fashion is daring.

The American designer is a fan of the British capital's eclectic style and believes the great mix of shops available makes Londoners some of the most stylish people in the world.

In a blog for Vogue.co.uk, he writes: ''London is one of my favourite cities. The quirky and interesting mix of styles and attitudes that you see on a single street are a continuous source of inspiration - and the women are always taking fashion risks.

''Plus, it doesn't hurt that the shopping scene is parallel to none.''

Michael always makes sure he travels over to the UK in style and wouldn't be caught without a vintage luggage set from Bentleys Antiques, which is famed for its one-of-a-kind Louis Vuitton trunks.

Probed about his favourite shopping destination, he quipped: ''Bentleys on Walton Street. I'm vintage luggage-obsessed - I love the idea that something can be beautiful and utilitarian, whether you use luggage when you travel or just stack it in your house to hide all the things that people don't need to see.

''I think England is the place where people have attics full of fabulous luggage.''

Michael is giving a talk at the Vogue Festival on Saturday April 27.
