Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson's UK ban leaves his one-man show tour in 2014 in serious doubt. The former boxer, 47, was due in the capital this week as a part of a promotional tour for his new autobiography, which included a photo-call with journalists and a book signing at Waterstones, but recent changes to UK immigration laws meant he was unable to enter the UK and was re-routed to Paris instead.

Tyson Returns Ear To Evander Holyfield: Best Sports Commercial Ever? [Video]

Mike Tyson Evander Holyfield

"Tyson returns ear" may well go down as the funniest commercial of 2013. The new ad for Foot Locker - co-starring Kyrie Irving - was on the brink of going viral on Wednesday (November 20, 2013).

The whole thing is based around "things that make you feel all's right with the world" which Cavaliers star Irving dreams about whilst courtside with his buddies in the opening moments.

Then we cut to Tyson approaching Holyfield's monumental mansion, ringing the doorbell and telling the heavyweight "I'm sorry, I got your ear," before giving his old foe a big hug.

Mike Tyson Tells Matt Lauer, "If I Don't Get Help, I Will Die."

Mike Tyson Matt Lauer

Mike Tyson has told The Today Show's Matt Lauer that if he doesn't get help for alcoholism and drug addiction, he will be dead before long.

The former heavyweight champion of the world told a packed press room last week that he was "on the verge of dying" though had been sober for six days.

He visited the same theme on Thursday's interview, telling Lauer, "When I start drinking and I relapse, I think of dying. When I'm in a real dark mood, I think of dying. And I don't want to be around no more. I won't survive unless I get help."

Lindsay Lohan Arrives Late To Scary Movie 5 Premiere, Steals The Show (Pictures)

Lindsay Lohan Charlie Sheen Mike Tyson Ashley Tisdale

Lindsay Lohan arrived fashionably late to the premiere of Scary Movie 5 in Hollywood last night. We say fashionably late, what we actually mean is she arrived 30 minutes AFTER the red carpet was due to close and moments before the movie was about to start. Lohan - who is rehab bound - posed for a couple of solo photos before being joined by co-star Charlie Sheen. The actress wore a sleek knee-length dress, which worked well with tousled auburn hair. It's safe to say she was very much the star of the show and photographers jostled for position to get the perfect snap.

Lohan and Sheen exchanged greetings and took pictures together before Sheen left her to her press duties. However, there was little for the waiting journalists as Lohan was rushed into the screening with her publicist in tow, having no time to stop and greet her fans who had congregated outside the theatre holding up 'Team Lohan' signs. Who in their right mind would... forget it. Though Lohan was the main event, the likes of Ashley Tisdale, Simon Rex, Mike Tyson, Heather Locklear, Kate Walsh and Jerry O'Connell attended the premiere too.

The actress flew into Los Angeles from New York very early on Thursday morning (April 11, 2013) and is scheduled to attend the Coachella music festival in Indio, California, this weekend. However, according to TMZ.com, the actress is telling friends she "doesn't care about all the snipers who are scoffing" at her rehabilitation and insists she will stay clean at the festival, which she, err, enjoyed last year. A judge in her criminal case has warned her to stay away from people who do drugs or alcohol, which could be problematic at Coachella, headlined this year by The Stone Roses, Blur, Phoenix and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Mike Tyson 50 Shades Of Gray Spoof Included In Scary Movie 5

Mike Tyson

Tyson, 50 Shades of Gray? Boxing great, and now comedy movie regular Mike Tyson should be able to give the upcoming Scary Movie 5 the lift it may need (given how bad the last two were at least) after it emerged that he is to appear in the next instalment of the comedy franchise during a spoof of the 50 Shades of Grey novel by EL James.

The term 'You Snooze You Lose' applies to the producers of the movie adaptation of the novel here, because despite close to a year of speculation and rumours, the 50 Shades movie is still no closer to being made and now the hugely popular erotica tale has finally made it to the big screen, only to be spoofed by Tyson, Ashley Tisdale and Jerry O’Connell.

The Hangover Part III - Teaser Trailer

Stu, Phil, Alan and Doug return to Las Vegas in the hilarious third instalment of 'The Hangover' movie series. Nobody's getting married this time, but if you think the absence of a bachelor party will calm this lot down, you are so wrong. Following the events of 'The Hangover' which saw them get attacked by gangsters, mauled by a tiger, tasered by cops and inadvertently married, and of course the events of 'The Hangover Part II' which took them to Thailand where they got tattooed, shot by Russian mobsters and had sex with transgender hookers, the conclusion to this trilogy doesn't look to fare much better as these wild boys set out for one last mayhem-fuelled weekend in Sin City.

Mike Tyson Fights Back From Critical Mauling To Take Musical On Tour

Mike Tyson Jimmy Kimmel

One of the most controversial stars of the past three decades in the ring, boxer Mike Tyson is taking his Broadway show Mike Tyson: Undisputed Champion on the road in the new year for a 10-week tour.

Tyson raised eyebrows when initially announcing the show, and has since suffered somewhat of a critical mauling over it. The plot centers on the time when Tyson was convicted of rape and sentenced to prison for three years in 1992, a crime he still contests that he did not commit. The show will commence its tour on February 12, 2013 in Indianapolis and will hit 36 cities across the USA, reports The New York Times. Tyson needs all the good press he can get for the jaunt, and revealed the tour on The Jimmy Kimmel Show, adding in an anecdote about a visit from Florence Henderson whilst he was in prison.

Tyson was apparently in solitary confinement at the time and said to Kimmel “What was I going to say when Mrs. Brady came to visit?” before staggering around the stage imitating what it was like to walk in shackles. Making his boxing debut in the 1980's, Tyson became the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in history in 1986 when aged just 20 he knocked out Trevor Berbick for the WBC belt. However, he never re-captured his 80's magic and spent much of the next two decades fading in form, although he was never far away from controversy out of the ring.

Mike Tyson One Man Show To Run In Indianapolis

Mike Tyson

The Mike Tyson one man show will hit Indianapolis - the city where he was jailed after The Old National Centre announced today that he will perform on Feb. 12 and 13 in "Mike Tyson; Undisputed Truth."

Directed by Spike Lee and written by the boxer's third wife, Kiki Tyson, the confessional ran for 12 shows on Broadway and the Indianapolis stop is part of a national tour. You might think Tyson has no place on the stage, but most critics didn't dismiss it altogether, however they weren't exactly enamoured with it. The Telegraph say, "Mike Tyson's one-man show in New York was amusingly honest, if at times self-indulgent." And the shows funny side is, by most accounts, the best part of the show. There are many funny moments in his anecdotes too. I doubt anyone in the audience will forget the night they saw the former heavyweight champion of the world hugging himself in a pretend clinch before prancing across the stage and leading the audience in a falsetto singalong of 'Loving You'", the Telegraph continues.

Tyson served three years in an Indiana prison for the 1991 rape of a Miss Black America pageant contestant. A Marion County jury convicted Tyson of one count of rape and two counts of criminal deviate conduct. Tyson served his time at the Indiana Youth Center, a high-medium security facility west of Indianapolis.

Mike Tyson Down After Visa Denial

Mike Tyson

Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson is "disappointed" after he was denied entry to New Zealand, reports TVNZ. The erstwhile fighter was due to speak at a special event in Auckland on November 15 2012.

"He's clean, he sober, he's a vegan, he's coming with his wife, his two children under four and his mother-in-law, he can't possibly do anything wrong in 20 hours, even the Prime Minister said he's only here for 20 hours," said Max Markson, the promoter for Mike Tyson's visits to Australia and New Zealand. "And in addition to that he is very much giving a social and economic benefit to the New Zealand economy." All was looking well for Tyson, as he'd previously been granted entry to the country despite his rape conviction, but that all changed this morning (October 3rd) when Associate Immigration Minister, Kate Wilkinson, said a children's charity had withdrawn its support for his visit. "Yesterday evening the Life Education Trust contacted my office and asked for that letter to be withdrawn, making it clear that the Trust no longer wants to have any involvement with Mr Tyson's visit," Wilkinson explained in a statement.

New Zealand immigration law states that a visa will not be granted to a person who has been convicted and sentenced to imprisonment for five years or more; Tyson served six years in jail for the rape of an 18-year-old beauty queen in 1991. "He is quite down about it," Markson said.

Black And White (1999) Review

Good
A very unique and brutal subculture exists in America these days. It's a strange juxtaposition of harsh street life and uber-materialistic greed tempered with a sense of justifiability from a code of unwritten ethics. The world is that of the gangsta rappers, the ghetto boys, and the thug-life advocators that dominate the world of hip-hop and rap music. Black and White, the latest film by James Toback, explores this subculture that grows stronger with every new generation it affects.

The hardest thing about an outsider trying to infiltrate a subculture and explain it to the masses is that the truth is often lost in the translation. Toback throws together a huge canvas of characters and actors in attempt to create a clear picture of why white kids are motivated to impersonate black rappers' lifestyles and why rich whit guys treat black rappers like Arnold and Willis from Diff'rent Strokes.
