Stuart Lynn Dunn, a man twice convicted of stalking the Hollywood actress Mila Kunis, has escaped from a mental health facility in Pomona. Mr Dunn left a secure facility around 8pm on Saturday, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Lt. Martin Rodriguez.

The man had been confined to the facility under the supervision of the county Probation Department after pleading guilty to a felony count of stalking Kunis. The Black Swan actress, who engaged to the actor Ashton Kutcher, has been notified of Dunn's escape.

Dunn was first arrested in May 2012 on suspicion of stalking Kunis and has been apprehended by police numerous times since. He was waiting for Kunis in the parking lot of her gym for three consecutive days. Mr Dunn was ordered to stay away from the actress for three years after he pleaded no contest to a misdemeanour count of unauthorized entry of a dwelling.

In January, Dunn was charged with making repeated calls seeking Kunis's personal information as well as breaking into her vacant home that she owned.

Kunis appears to be taking a brief break from acting after giving birth to her daughter Wyatt Isabelle in October 2014. However, she recently lent her voice to the forthcoming animated comedy Hell & Back, about two best friends who set out to rescue their pal after he's accidentally dragged to hell. She has voice the character of Meg Griffin in Family Guy since 1999.
