She only announced last month that she was joining ‘The Voice’ as a special advisor, but Miley Cyrus seems to be making her move to the NBC reality show more permanent, revealing she’ll be a coach on season 11.

The 23 year old singer will be making her debut on the show on Monday (March 28th) when the knockout rounds commence and her role as Key Advisor begins, which will see her offer advice to all teams and contestants.

Cyrus confirmed the news on Twitter herself, writing: “It's true! I am going to be the newest judge on Season 11 of The Voice @NBCTheVoice #thevoice.” She’ll most likely be joining Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Alicia Keys, the replacement for Pharrell Williams who has already confirmed he will not be returning after the current season.

So, what does this mean for the behind-the-scenes politics of ‘The Voice’? TMZ has speculated that it likely means the end of Gwen Stefani, who some had thought would be rotated back into a coaching role after assisting on her boyfriend Blake Shelton’s team this year.

No more adorable Blake ‘n’ Gwen moments, then, but it’ll likely please Christina Aguilera, who has been reportedly complaining about the exposure given to the pair. But does Miley’s involvement mean that Christina herself is for the chop? We’ll find out when the eleventh season begins filming in September.

The ‘Wrecking Ball’ star, who is back together with her fiancé Liam Hemsworth for the second time, announced her participation in the current tenth series back in early February as Key Advisor. It’s a high-profile role that has previously been held down by Taylor Swift, Rihanna and Coldplay singer Chris Martin.

@realdukeofearles understands the insanity of it all..... Sending love to all my cast members on this anniversary .... To the world it's a celebration of 10 years but for us the journey began way before the world had any clue who the fuck any of us are ..... There was a very long auditioning process, and many chemistry reads which really is what sold the show to the producers and channel because no matter what went on over the years (which none of you have any clue about but It was like the real world but more hormonal teenagers) our love for each other was unquestionable.... Even though I feel disconnected to who I was at that time I will always feel eternally grateful for the opportunity and platform I was given .... None of it would have been possible with out every single person who ever contributed to the series .... From regulars , to special guests (and there were many magical ones @dollyparton ??) to creators, crew , directors..... I am where I am because of loyal fans that I am thankful for and of course love dearly all the new angels who support me now..... Even though HM is chopped up into little tiny pieces and buried in my backyard she will always hold a very special place in my heart! Celebrate this day with us! Get real drunk and remember #HM4EVR ???? send pics gettinnnnn buck wild in honor of this special day! ?????? #letsplayadrinkinggame watch HM and every time someone says her name take a shot! Yiew hew!
