Hip-hop superstar Missy Elliott has met with bosses at sportswear giant ADIDAS with a view to signing an endorsement deal.
The WORK IT rapper, who teamed up with Madonna to advertise clothing chain GAP, has long been a fan of Adidas, and hopes to be one of very few stars who have fronted the line.
She says, "I got a meeting with Adidas finally, after sporting Adidas for so long. The last artist they worked with was RUN-DMC, so hopefully we can get something out of it.
"With endorsements, everybody wants the money, but for me it's about the long term: are we doing a line together, is this continuous, am I going to be able to have at least 95 per cent creative input? Because after the money's gone, you could just be stuck with some clothes nobody buys."
