Corbyn shocked political commentators in the U.K. when he was elected Leader of the Opposition over the weekend (12-13Sep15), with many predicting a short-lived tenure because of his socialist leanings.

He has previously stated he wants to withdraw Britain from NATO and scrap the Trident nuclear missile programme, and his republican views chime with famously anti-royal pop star Morrissey, but the former The Smiths frontman fears holding such controversial opinions could end in tragedy.

At a concert in Plymouth, England on Tuesday (15Sep15), Morrissey told the audience, "What do you all think of Jeremy Corbyn? He's vegetarian, he is anti-war, and he hates the royals, as we all do. He's going to be assassinated!"
