Fact: Rockers Motorhead are to be honoured in frontman Lemmy's adopted Los Angeles to mark the band's 40th anniversary. Local politician Jose Huizar will preside over a special ceremony at the Los Angeles City Council Chambers at City Hall on 26 August (15), two days before the U.S. release of Motorhead's new album, Bad Magic, which was recorded in North Hollywood.

Fact: Black Sabbath, Soundgarden and Motorhead are set to team up to rock the centre of London this summer (Jul14) as part of a 10-day festival at Hyde Park. The historic venue's British Summer Time festival will kick off with a heavy rock spectacular on 4 July (14), which will also feature Faith No More and and Wolfmother.

Fact: Motorhead rocker Lemmy is having a bronze-coloured sculpture of his own head shipped to his California home from his native Wales. The artwork was crafted by Nick Elphick, who wanted to commemorate Lemmy's connection to the Welsh town of Llandudno. The bass guitarist moved to Wales at the age of 10.
