My Morning Jacket Return To Louisville For Forecastle Festival 2015 Alongside Sam Smith

Locals My Morning Jacket lead the line-up for Forecastle Festival 2015, as the first selection of acts entice more and more towards a sun-soaked weekend in Louisville, Kentucky this July. The band will also be joined by Brit singer Sam Smith.

Hot on the heels of their latest album announcement 'The Waterfall', My Morning Jacket return to their hometown for a jam down by Waterfront Park this summer, alongside British superstar Sam Smith who is looking at his most successful year yet with four Grammy wins, a sell-out tour and a number one already with his re-released debut single 'Lay Me Down' featuring John Legend.

They'll be headlining a stunning line-up for Forecastle's 13th year, a weekend which will take place from July 17th to 19th 2015. Georgia rockers Widespread Panic are high on the bill, as well as Modest Mouse who recently unveiled their sixth studio album 'Strangers to Ourselves'. Further additions to the rock fest include another Kentucky favourite Cage The Elephant, Swedish singer/songwriters Tallest Man On Earth and First Aid Kit, California quartet Cold War Kids, New Jersey's The Gaslight Anthem and New York alternative-pop band San Fermin who are set to release their second album this year.

Take a break from the music and try some local produce with The Bourbon Lodge, not to mention all the craft breweries and fresh vendors from around the state. Throughout the weekend the festival will also be raising money for their charitable foundation which aims to preserve ecologically rich yet endangered regions of the globe.
